Prima hotel voor een weekend Mechelen. Prima parkeergelegenheid in de Hoofstraat.300 meter van het hotel. Gebruik geen Google map, maar waze, anders blijf je rondjes rijden.

We have been stopping at this hotel 12-15 times over the last 30 years. We always ask for the same room. We like the location of the hotel, the firm mattresses, the quiet hallways, the ample breakfasts, and the staff.

The service was very polite, the location is excellent, and there was a nice view from the window. The food was also good (although the choice was limited), which added to the positive experience. However, the room's cleanliness was not sufficient, and it overall looked worn out.

The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of the city centre, close to lots of bars and restaurants in a relative calm enviroment. The major turn-down on this hotel is the outdated interior. The 80's look and feel will probably make you feel discomfortable. Worn out woodwork, broken airco (management is aware)... There are better choices to stay in Mechelen city centre in the same price range. Sorry.

NH Mechelen is a nice, warm hotel with welcoming staff. We enjoyed our stay there. It is also quite central. There is also a parking there. It costs 15 euros per night. I did not check whether there are cheaper parking places. The city of Mechelen is nice to see. It is quite authentic and real.

The hotel is need of facelift and modernisation, unfortunately. Rooms are aged Aircon is very poor just blows hot hair!! Bathrooms clean but in need of an update No power sockets in rooms this is not great for modern day travelling with phones and laptops. There are better hotels nearby for around the same price. Not the NH standard I expect from experience

I will never choose this hotel again. The parking is so small to enter that I accidently damaged my business car entering out. The entrance is very small, steep and low. So only low and small cars fit. Also the handle in the bath tub was rusted and fell of while stepping outside the bath. Never again. Nobody at the reception when needed. Had to call the receptionist who was busy in the back of the hotel.

Since we are a small hotel, we indeed have only one receptionist on shift most of the time. As described in your feedback, this person carries a phone so he/she can always be reached by our guests when the receptionist has to leave the desk behind to bring something to a room or find a new box of paper in the back office. Excellent location. Desk folks could not have been nicer. Breakfast room was small, but food was good. Easy walk downtown and several small restaurants within a couple of blocks. Automated bread shop across the breezeway was fascinating.

Spent two days in Mechelen and the NH was an excellent choice. Practically in the middle of town and walkable to almost everywhere. Would stay again. Quiet clean and the guys at the desk were very friendly and helpful.

Very good breakfast, the bed and pillow was very comfortable and the hotel is located at the city center, easy to move around. The rooms can be improved as well as the curtains. The bathroom didn't smell good.

Service is friendly and good the rooms are large enough and clean. The room needs updating but for the price its good enough. Everything is dated. Wifi is free. Rooms is situated in the bach part of the builiding which is nice. No disturbance of the elevator and crowded street in the front.

Hotel is old and needs renovation. Beds are terrible. Breakfast is not nice and poor in choices and quality would not recomend. Bathroom is old and smelly rooms are not nice rooms are not soundproof friendly receptionist

Faded glory. Bathroom was clean but soap in the pumps had run out and a dirty shower curtain. Slack water jet. The carpet, curtains, chairs, beds (you could feel the springs in the mattress) and desk were all worn and damaged / broken. There was only 1 socket and it hung out of the wall, life threatening. Bare walls, decoration such as painting was not there, giving it an atmosphere of zero. Curtains were attached with Velcro and too dirty to touch. Rooms were noisy. Not a 3 star worthy hotel.

The airco unit was broke so I got another room which was really dirty. I called reception to ask for cleaning but all they did was give me a broom at 23.50 to clean it up myself. Breakfast was poor and a lot of things were out of stock.
