Barahi Jungle Lodge

Everything was purrfection from arrival to departure. Beautiful bungalows, warm welcome, wonderful, kind staff and the best guide and driver ( Govinda and Pushpa ) Lovely dining, menu options, great breakfast buffet. Truly a magical place! Many activities to choose from of course jungle safaris are the best on the lookout daily for animals ( we were quite lucky to actually see a tiger but too quick for a picture, many birds, deer, sloth bear, monkeys and rhinos. No elephant this time. Do at least one full day to experience a lunch in the wild. Sunrise/sunset breakfast/dinner river boat ride amazing! Don't forget to visit the spa for some after bumpy jeep ride relaxation and enjoy an evening with local dancers from nearby villages.

We came here for 3 nights in May on our first visit to Nepal and after trekking in Annapurna. It is such a beautiful and calm oasis - a fabulous place to enjoy all Chitwan has to offer. The hospitality and service were second to none. The staff were all attentive, friendly, always smiling and seemed to anticipate every need - we felt very well looked after, with Nepali hospitality that felt genuine and welcoming. We also loved the commitment to the environment, sustainability and the local area, so important. We had booked a package with 5 activities and our guide Rajesh was superb- very knowledgeable and went the extra mile to ensure we enjoyed all the activities. It felt like being out with a very knowledgeable friend. We had a sundowner boat trip, a walking safari, 2 jeep safaris and a village tour, which we chose to do on bicycles - a great way of seeing village life and meeting locals. We saw so much wildlife and birds and the scenery in the park is spectacular. We were blown away. Huge thanks to Rajesh and the other guides and driver, Govinder, who made the activities so special and memorable. The food was excellent and plentiful and we enjoyed a variety of dishes. The candlelit "bush dinner" on our first night was very special. Sadly we didn't make it to the spa - too much else to do! Would highly recommend Barahi and hope to make it back one day.

It was our first visit to Nepal and barahi jungle lodge made it memorable in any way possible. We took jungle package and special thanks sudikshya and Tek (naturalist) for making every activity memorable and worth it. My first tiger spotting experience. Bindiya took some amazing pictures. Roshan at the reception and Mr. Prakash made it all the more memorable. Surely will visit soon. Thanks. All the best!

We stayed here for 2 nights last month in April. The property is located right near to Chitwan National Park and easily accessible. The rooms were spacious and comes with river and jungle view. The entire Barahi property is well thought of and the eco friendly. The staff at this property are so welcoming and always smiling. The food is good here and the chef made sure that my mother who eats only Jain Food is well taken care. They have free Tea and Coffee served to all the guests throughout the day. The safari package is also upto the mark and Jeeps are in good condition. Really enjoyed our river safari along with Sundowner, very different experience altogether. The lady ( I forgot the name , starts with A ) who was assigned to us to take us around have a wonderful knowledge about the various species of birds and animals. Also our first day evening candle light dinner was a big surprise where they arranged right under the trees which was very private and personalized. Thank you for everything. I will recommend to all my friends in India to definitely visit Barahi Jungle Lodge Chitwan for the experience and money spent.

This is a serene and peaceful oasis to get some R&R. The safari and boat ride were outstanding. Loved all the guides, drivers, serving staff and housekeeping. All the little touches in the decor, and knowing that local people made the decorations as well as are employed here, plus that there is som much thought put into sustainability, made our stay extra special. Yes, the climate is challenging, but they more than make up for it with excellent hospitality. Definitely go to the spa--it's above and beyond anything you might expect.

Amazing place to stay and like the eco friendly environment. Staffs are just awesome and one time I am not hyper but the staff talk to me very nicely and I feel guilty and apologise. I will defiantly come back and stay. Just few things need to improve that they need to tidy the swimming pool as it is outdoor but still need to maintain.

The hotel is very beautiful. The staff was all very welcoming and polite. The food and activities provided were great! We went on an afternoon safari and got to see rhinos up close along with other animals. Was a very pleasant visit and I would come back.

A wonderful experience at this peaceful oasis in Chitwan. Perfect location for safari tours with excellent guides and drivers. We stayed in the suite, which is well worth extra, particularly for a family as you get your own pool and space to unwind. The staff were attentive and friendly, and the food was good quality. We will likely be back soon....!!
