The bed was really comfortable and having an upgrade to a King bed was great. The rooms were quiet, although we only had a few of the neighbouring wall! There are a number of disappointments at this hotel. The TV didn't work to start with, we had to call someone to fix that. The rooftop 'pool' was a spa and a small very shallow cooler pool that only covers you when you sit in it. The sauna was ok but no bucket and water available to steam it up a bit. The lift only goes to the 9th floor, you then need to walk to flights of stairs to get to the spa/fitness room. Biggest issue was the buffet breakfast, which we had included for an additional $21 in our price, usually it is $29 per person. Served in a back room that might at other times be used as a conference room, the hot water for tea and coffee was warm, not hot. The bain maries were heated with a flame: the hash browns were roast potatoes, there were beef sausages which looked overcooked, baked beans that looked old, scrambled eggs which were lukewarm, bacon I personally would not have chosen. Orange juice was ordinary, a pancake machine made pancakes that were probably the only nice thing in the breakfast, tinned fruit that tasted slightly sour and melons that tasted old. Overall I would not have chosen this if I had known the poor quality and would recommend not having it for $29!!
The hotel is close to a tram stop, which is handy.
