Courtyard Memphis East/Galleria

If you are ever in the Memphis area, do not stay at the Courtyard Memphis East Galleria. Today, I got a call from the hotel saying they are canceling my reservation. My co-worker beside me in the car did not receive a call. He is staying there too. So bottom line, if your Marriott status is not high enough, they'll just cancel your reservation to provide a room for someone with a higher status. Great customer service Marriott!

We were horrified to find a live roach under my daughter’s pillow upon waking after an overnight travel stop. After the initial horror we found several more roaches. After taking our concern to the Hotel front desk we were told that because the manager wasn’t present that they were unable to do anything to rectify the problem. I’ve made a complaint with Marriott Bonvoy to elevate the issue after shaking out all of our clothes and suitcases and checking out.

The most terrifying experience we had in a hotel. Someone fully entered our room just before midnight on our stay, stated "WRONG ROOM" and ran out after my wife yelled "THERE IS SOMEONE IN OUR ROOM". After, the night staff and security investigated, they could not determine how they entered. Afterward, we immediately checked out and left. The next day, the hotel management ran another investigation and determined it was their Security had entered the room.... The same Security that ran the investigation the previous day. Hotel management also stated to the third party we booked the hotel through that we stayed the entire night and had not left after the incident, just so we could not get a refund.

Very clean hotel,check in was great,friendly staff,room was great.Easy on and off to the interstate. Little pricey but you get what you pay for. Didn't do much in Memphis because we arrived late.Will definitely stay here again when in the area.
