We stayed twice in sept, in 2 different rooms, as we are season pass holders at mt buller. I had an American Express voucher to use, and this was the closest accom to the mount on offer with the voucher. My booking confirmation had contact details, but apparently they were old, so that’s more of an American Express issue, however, after a LOT of googling, difficult to find who to contact, eventually got on to someone who emailed me the code for the door. Issues solved. On arrival, The door was REALLY difficult to open with the code, took 2 of us both hands to finally get it open. The room was fine, but very smelly. Like someone had microwaved tuna, a lot of tuna. Everything else was fine on our first stay. On our second stay 2 weeks later, we were in a different room, it was not very clean (lots of dust, and just dirt on surfaces). Only half a roll of toilet paper, so we had to buy more. It didn’t smell as bad as the first room, but still smelt dusty and in need of a good clean. Door code was much easier to open. Lots of ants in the room. The people next door were super noisy at 5am! I’m sure they were banging pans and square dancing til 7am. Overall, good location, reasonable prices, reasonably comfortable, could be cleaner and fresher and noise levels are a concern.
