I usually stay in a nearby Premier Inn when staying in Milton Keynes, but it was fully booked. The staff I encountered were on the whole pleasant and the location of this hotel is great - next to the shopping centre and Xsape etc. but unfortunately that is where the positives end... Every inch of the hotel is grubby, self check in machines not working, dirty carpets and lifts. I stayed in a 'premier plus' room - there was not a surface that was not marked or dirty. The first room I was given had cobwebs so big they had been there for months, carpet looked un-hoovered and bathroom walls not wiped down. I asked to be moved, only to be told that the hotel was full. I was given another room - again dirty and stained carpets, marked walls, sticky kettle and coffee machine, marked chairs. The pillows were stained and marked pillow case, the spare pillow cases in the bag (not tagged) both had hair on them (they had 100% been used). They really need to get a handle on the housekeeping issues, it was just grotty - I stayed 2 nights and even in the corridors and landing by the lift the carpets were stained and dirty with the same crumbs there the whole time... The restaraunt was ridiculously understaffed, service ridiculously slow. I went down from dinner at 6.30pm the first night - waited 10 minutes to be seated and by the time food came out I left after 8pm. 2nd night was even slower. Unfortunately I would not recommend this hotel, mainly based on the standards of cleanliness, which were dire.
