Spent 3 nights here the 3rd week of September and found the service to be excellent. Arriving by Amtrak, the free shuttle took me there when I arrived and back again when I left. The shuttle also took me to the jet and airplane museum the 1 day and they took me to the airport to pick up a rental car. The drivers were great and do accept tips. The room was comfortable and quiet, but I had a room in the back away from the street. The free breakfast was good, but there are limited dinner options other than the Mexican pizza and sandwich shop down the street, as well as a Thai restaurant and Subway sandwich shop. Further up the street in the opposite direction near the airport, there were a couple of other restaurants. My room had good temperature controls which added to my comfort. Also, the Hampton Inn was conveniently located to the airport, Minot State Universary and within walking distance (although long) of the places I wanted to visit such as the zoo, Scandinavia Heritage place and Taube Art Museum. Moreover, when I checked out, the inn allowed me to stay longer in the lobby until the time arrived for my shuttle ride to the Amtrak station. Wifi seemed satisfactory and I liked the fact that there is free parking and no resort fees that some hotels are charging. The only negative issue was that there was an exercise room that I used once, but the treadmills were broken. This didn't bother me too much since I did a lot of walking during my stay and the staff did take steps to get them repaired the next day. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would stay here again if I were in the area.
