Hotel Columbia Wellness SPA

The hotel position, the external and common areas design are very good and new. The Spa is also new, but is a little small, if crowded you cannot enjoy it. The rooms let us down because are outdated and small, especially the bathroom. the big bed was made with 2 single mattress together, the air condition is too noisy. The breakfast is ok, but a buffet would be better and faster.

This is not a four star hotel. Our small bedroom had concrete for flooring. No tiles. When asked for a different room we were told that we had to pay more for an upgrade. Asked if we could have our money back and go else where we were told no. The owner sits behind a computer screen on the left in reception and needs urgent training in customer service skills

I love this hotel VERY much. I want to start with the staff. They were all very helpful and accommodating! The breakfast staff were so impressive (they also worked at dinner time). They worked hard at meeting our needs and provided us a beautiful breakfast (and the view as you can see from this photo was amazing too)! The bacon and pancakes were our favorite and we had them every day! Ivan and Basharat stood out as leaders and really worked hard to make sure everything was spot on! Rooms are small but very comfortable and we had everything we need. My bathroom was updated, but my Mother's was a bit older with a terrible "sour" sewer smell that made her entire room smell (4th floor next to the elevator - if you are facing the elevator it is the one on the left). Regarding hotel linens: I really wish you would switch to white comforters and sheets. I felt like the decorated comforters with the big buttons sewn on were too heavy and when they are not white, I can not tell if they are clean. I requested a blanket to use instead and they brought me another matching comforter with the buttons - ;). I feel like white bedding should be a standard in the hotel industry. All of our bedding in the hotels and Airbnb's throughout Italy that we stayed in had white bedding. Other than that, this hotel is very charming and perfectly located. We just walked to the restaurants, gelato shops, coffee shops, shopping, etc. Just perfect in that way. Front desk staff were very helpful and friendly! We loved Hotel Columbia and we will be back again (I hope) some day!

Fantastic hotel in a lovely location in Monticati Terme. Amazing kind helpful staff in every area of hotel .nothing was a problem . The breakfast was very plentiful and coffee was fantastic including cappuccino and nice holograms engrained was nice touch. The dinner was fine dining locally sourced ingredients in a wow panoramic dining room.loved the views of surrounding Monticati Alto . Great spa to chill out for few hours . The advice on where to go and see was great 👍 with maps provided. The decor in hotel was very unique The pictures where amazing especially check in desk ,The Van Morrison piece 😀 on reception area . A unique hotel in a very much unique location. Thank you Hotel Colombia. A great stay was had .

Quite the best Italian hotel that we have visited. The comfort, the service from everyone and the quality of the food were exceptional. We could have spent a month there and hope to return in the not too distant future. Well worth the the time that we spent finding it.

The worst experience so far ! I am in the hotel with my family and I can say that for 1000 euros for a few days it is absolutely a joke. A 4-star hotel cannot offer such bad services! (I'm not pretentious, I've also stayed in 1 star hotels and I considered them ok). - The reception when I arrived was completely crazy... I stayed for about half an hour with the little girl sleeping in my arms because they insisted on making copies of the children's passports (4 and 6 years old)... obviously they don't have a space where you can sit down nor they care ... I witnessed an execrable argument because they didn't know which of them should go to change the money ... and they didn't want to give us the change later??? - After we managed to go through the "accommodation procedure", the man who was supposed to take us to the room, left with the luggage in the elevator and left us in the same place where we had already stayed... - We booked a family room ... 2 adults and 2 kids ... The room is for a maximum of 2 adults, but they put 2 extra beds in. Unfortunately there is no more space for trolleys (4 persons) no space for unpacking. We're like in college when we used to stay with friends overnight to catch the train in the morning... - Breakfast (we paid for 4 persons) for us was a disaster! Attention, food can be eaten anywhere and anyway ... we are talking about a 4-star hotel here! Being with 2 small children, is it normal to have to repeatedly ask for our order to be taken? We asked for water (they put a big bottle of water at each table) ... they brought us only one glass! (the next day they even told me that I have to pay extra if I want water... I had to negotiate to bring the water that we were supposed to have on the table from the beginning) I asked for coffee ... after I finished breakfast and asked for coffee, they started arguing with each other and asking me who I asked for coffee ... Portions differ from day to day.... ...probably if I spoke Italian, the atmosphere would be different, as I have seen at other tables where the attention of the waiters was obviously very high... - SPA ... I have been to many, many spas and this is by far the worst organized and crowded. Our advantage is that children want to stay in the water and for their size it is quite ok. The disadvantage is that "you have to pay for the day" and nothing can be done so that these little ones can enter for only 1 hour. (one of the days I think we got some discount so that we could stay for a while only with the children... that is, it is actually possible) - ALL presentation pictures are heavily affected by Photoshop!

While staying in Cortina D’Ampezzo, I performed a search and asked for recommendations for massage services. Most were too pricey. I found Hotel Columbia’s website and made a reservation. I have to say that my 50 minute massage with Diego was outstanding. He was very attentive and I felt very relaxed afterwards. I am grateful for his service.

My Husband and I stayed for one week in June. The hotel itself is very stylish, modern and immaculately presented. Our room was a very good size, good sized bathroom with a balcony and the bed very comfortable. The room had air conditioning, it was cleaned daily, we also had clean towels daily and also a variety of toiletries which was a lovely surprise each day. On the first day we had trouble getting into our room (we were pulling the door not pushing it) and two members of staff could see that we were having difficulty and helped us, thank you to those ladies. We also had difficulty using the safe, we asked for some help and someone came to help us straight away. On occasion you could hear some music from the bar in the street but it wasn’t a problem daily. We did not get the opportunity to use the spa unfortunately as we had such a busy schedule, but it looked very inviting, you had to pay extra for this service though. The main reason we booked this hotel was due to the panoramic restaurant at the top of the building, it had glass all around and so the views were amazing. This made for a lovely dining experience. The food was first class fine dining, nothing was too much trouble for the staff, a special thank you to Ivan for making our dining experience very pleasant. Each day at breakfast the table had various sweet pastries, breads, yogurts, jam, nutella, honey and spreads. There was also a large choice of hot drinks, fresh fruit, fresh juices, milks, cereals, boiled or scrambled eggs, cold meats, pancakes , these items you ordered and the waiting staff would bring to you, the service was always friendly and professional. We stayed half board and so we ate in the restaurant each evening. The menu was four courses, a starter (seafood or land), meat and fish dishes, and a dessert. Vegetarians were also catered for but I think maybe more choice would have been better as some meals were very similar. Montecatini is a lovely town with nice shops and restaurants, there is a park close by which shows Opera occasionally and you can also get the funicular railway to Montecatini Alto, a ten minute ride at a good price. you can travel very easily to Pisa, Lucca and Florence. We really loved staying at this Hotel, maybe we will come back one day.

My husband and myself have just returned from a perfect week's stay at this excellent hotel in central Montecatini. Comfortable and very clean room, all staff extremely friendly, polite and helpful. The food (we had breakfast and evening meal) was excellent, and we could not fault anything. Thank you all for making it a lovely holiday. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.
