Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham of Morris

Spent 1 night in September as part of trip. Plenty of parking and had indoor pool (did not use). Coffee was in the lobby. Bathroom was remodeled. Shower and sink in same area. First floor - was wood. Breakfast area - 4 tables or so, oj/apple juice, 2 cereals, smaller waffles, toast, small muffins, replaced stuff when people were there. Coffee did not have any liquid creamers. Breakfast 6 to 9. Trip - stay in the back of hotel away from highway Was on the more expensive side for typical Days Inns.

I've stayed at this Days Inn before several times--the last time was 2 years ago. So I knew it was a good value with friendly staff and a nice deep pool, conveniently located off I-80 and not too far from Skydive Chicago where I compete in national championships and world records, etc. I was looking forward to returning to the Days Inn for this year's Nationals competition and was DELIGHTFULLY surprised to find that many improvements have been made to the (already adequate) hotel since my last visit. It seems that they have replaced the carpeting so it is pretty much brand new and super clean--wonderful for me since I spend a lot of time stretching on the floor! The towels also seem brand new, fluffy white and soft. The shampoo and conditioner are now a really nice brand. And they have upgraded the TVs and phones in the rooms--my TV was huge and got great HD picture, with tons of channels. The pool, as always, is heated just the right amount and immaculately clean. And the nice night clerk who was there two years ago is not only still there but he remembered me. I could not have been happier with my stay--what a wonderful value! Funny how the motel still looks pretty run down and sketchy from outside, but once you get inside, you realize that you won the lottery--it's rare to find such a clean place with so many amenities for this price. Be aware, however, that the breakfast has quite limited variety for those seeking healthy food. Make a stop at the Wal-Mart right across the highway for food provisions if you're looking for fruit or yogurt or anything like that in the morning. The rooms have fridges and microwaves, so keeping the food you need in your room is no problem. My compliments to the management and staff for all the improvements you've made! See you again next year for sure!!

It seems that it has been a while since someone reviewed this motel. After lot's of problems finding places to stay, I must tell you that I was extremely pleased with this Day's Inn. The parking lot was plentiful and the price was good for a double room for one night. The Night Manager was helpful to find a room with a bathtub, and check in was smooth. Elevator worked to get me to 3rd floor and was pleased with the room. It smelled a bit of disinfectant, but was fine and better then the last two places I had stayed on this trip. The room was CLEAN ... beds, sheets, and pillows were comfortable. The air conditioner was quiet and kept the room nice and cool like i wanted. The bathroom was clean and the water was hot for a comfortable bath. Vending machines on first floor with good ice machine. Comfortable sleep with no loud noises. In the morning I enjoyed a "lobby waffle" and sausage gravy with biscuits. The gravy and biscuits were as good as the ones I paid $12 for earlier in the week. The morning manager was very nice and had me checked out in minutes. Overall, I believe this Day's Inn was a diamond in the Ruff.... if you are in the area, give it a try!

Don't waste your time going to the days inn in Morris Illinois. This place is terrible . The place needs a deep Cleaning from top to bottom. The lobby smells as all common areas . The pool area needs to be clean. Rooms smelled and were not cleaned burnt marks on the tub in the bathroom. If I could rate less than a zero I would! The light breakfast in the morning that area where they have it needs to be cleaned and sanitized between usages. Again I highly recommend you all skip this dump

Looking for a reasonably priced, clean, safe, pet friendly place to spend the night on our road trip. Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham of Morris filled the bill in this regard. While the front desk attendant didn't offer a warm greeting, he was quick to help us with a minor problem with a newly installed wide screen TV.

Walked in to hotel 1 am to no one at the counter and a drunk guy past out in waiting room with natty lights litter around him just mumbling, saw two sets of room keys for I assume the next day took them great experience!

We stayed here for a 3 night stay. The room was clean, staff was friendly and very helpful. The bed was older and needed replaced, but overall, the room was clean with clean furnishings. The included breakfast was minimal and would have been better if fruit, bagels or donuts were offered.

The best thing about this hotel is that it is close to I-80. The driveway going in is a fiesta of potholes. The young woman at the front desk apparently is not paid enough to give a hoot about anything. She was able to sign me in, though. Wifi is available free of charge but there is no password, which kind of exemplifies the whole attitude here. The room was relatively spacious because there just wasn't much in it. There was, however, something congealed into the carpet. There was a small dark mass hardened onto the bathroom counter, which is too bad because the bathroom was spotless otherwise. The price was significantly too high for what I got and I would not stay here again or recommend it to anyone else, especially since there are alternatives very nearby.

If you are a NON smoker, DO NOT stay here! The "Non-smoking" room had a plastic bag over the smoke detector and I had an allergic reaction to the amount of residual smoke smell at the head of the bed and in the mattresses. My nightclothes reeked of smoke. People smoking directly outside the hotel door and the 2nd hand smoke in the stairwells and elevator were awful. The staff was helpful. Breakfast is very minimal. Residual hair on the tub and on the floor of the bathroom.
