My review is about what happened after I left the hotel. By mistake, I left behind my jewellery, which was a combination of real gold, designer and custom jewellery, worth a few hundred £££. When I realised I left it behind the following day after travelling and called the hotel, I was initially told and reassured that someone would contact me. Nobody did. I called a second time and was told the same thing, yet again, nobody contacted me. On the third occasion, after a couple of seconds I was informed that no jewellery had been found by room service, when initially they said they would need to contact the room service team. When I queried how they knew this in a couple of seconds, I was given no response. I asked to speak to the manager, as I didn't feel the matter had been looked into properly amd was promptly told that there are no managers. I contacted Trip.com to help and they too did nothing, apart from contact the hotel and got the same response. I was lied to by Citidines and was never contacted the first two times like they said they would and was promptly dismissed of any query after that. I do not believe that the room was checked thoroughly, no investigation took place and genuinely believe that the jewellery was taken by someone who works at Citidines, due to its monetary value. Genuinely gutted and disappointed that they could not conduct themselves properly.
