Due to wildfires, our bus was canceled and we were unable to make it to Napflio until after the check out time of 21:00. They showed no flexibility, only tentatively offering to allow us to check in at 22:30 if we paid €20 in cash (and strongly emphasizing absolutely no later) which we were unable to agree to as our bus was scheduled to arrive at 22:35 and we were unable to guarantee whether it would have arrived in time. They offered no type of remote check in. They refused to offer us even a partial refund despite the impossibility of us making it. They explicitly said that there was nothing we could have possibly taken to check in despite our circumstances being out of our control. All of that is understandable if that is their policy, if extremely frustrating and disappointing however I am easily the most upset because of the way I was treated. I was very polite and respectful and their responses, were short, rude, unsympathetic and unkind. Which, given my obvious distress, made the situation all the more anxiety inducing. Perhaps the hotel is a very nice place to stay, I will never know. What I do know is that no one in hospitality has ever treated me with such disrespect and unprofessionalism.

Polyxenia Hotel is the worst hotel I've ever encountered, in nearly 6 years of full-time travelers. The owners pretend to be kind and sweet but are actually manipulative liars who will steal your money. I booked a "double or twin room with balcony" (and selected "double" when forced to choose during checkout) and was given a room comparable to a dungeon with a window that did not open. I asked to be moved to the room I booked and was told that no doubles with balconies exist, despite the listing saying otherwise. I then asked to be switched to a twin with a balcony, explaining that the balcony was the only reason I splurged on this hotel. They said that was not possible. It was late so I spent the night and first thing the next morning, let them know that since they could not provide me with the room I purchased, I would be leaving. The owner went belligerent, yelling in Greek and English, and called her sister in to do the same. As a solo traveler, I felt unsafe and evacuated the premises immediately. They illegally charged my card for over $400, despite being unable to provide me with the room booked. I am still fighting this charge. The location may be nice but it's not worth the harassment, the lies, or the scam. Polyxenia gets off on lying about rooms and stealing your money. Avoid at all cost.

First of all, I can say that just advertising this "hotel" is one big scam. The "Hotel" is advertised as a 4-star "hotel" on ***********. Nothing in this "hotel" had anything to do with 4 stars. At best, this is a bad boarding house. The room is advertised with 12m2. Maybe 12m2 together with the bathroom ??? The room itself measures 2.5x3.5m. Given that it is winter, it is understandable that rooms are not heated when there is no one in them. However, the room should be ready for the arrival of guests. It was 12 + -2 ° C in the room upon our arrival. Due to such a temperature, it was not possible to use the bathroom for washing or showering. We tried to heat up the room with air conditioning, but it turned out to be non-functional, because at maximum settings for heating and at least three hours of operation, the room warmed up by maybe a degree or two. There was also no pulling or blowing during the operation of the climate. Due to the cold, we were forced to sleep dressed as there were no extra blankets in the room. The pillows were maybe 5cm high. I don't know how it is with the norms, but I have never seen such low pillows in hotels. There was no large closed closet in the room where luggage or outerwear could be stored. There were only a few open shelves, but they are not enough for a normal stay. The paint is already peeling off in some areas, and in the bathroom, the beginning of mold is already visible on certain joints between the tiles. The towel rail at the sink has long since lost its function as it slips off the towel every time it is used normally. However, the biggest scam is that you are charged a full amount of credit card before you even perform the service. My credit card was debited on 20.12.2021 at the bank, which means that the application was submitted earlier, ie 19.12.2021. We performed the service on 19.12.2021 in the evening around 20:00. The card was charged without my knowledge. When we wanted to leave the "hotel" on the morning of December 20, 2021, the staff said that there was no problem, but that the service was already fully paid (2 days) and that they could not return the money for the second day !!!!!!!!!! !! Let me conclude by saying something about the breakfast included in the service. Even in the renowned 3 * hotel, where I was the only guest, they prepared a buffet breakfast with a large selection. In this “hotel” the only choice was tea or coffee and among the three types of tea. Another 2 small pieces of bread, a small package of butter, jam and honey, a piece of dessert and toast were obtained. And not to forget, 100ml of fresh orange with ice was also added. Such breakfast, if not included in the service, they charge an additional 10 € / person. Everyone personally can form their own opinion if the price for such a breakfast is acceptable? I myself believe that in any nearby bar that offers breakfast, for 10 € it is possible to get a much better service.

Μείνετε μακριά Ότι χειρότερο από άποψη σεβασμού και φιλοξενίας. Χρειάστηκε να το ακυρώσουμε για ΛΌΓΟΥΣ ΥΓΕΊΑΣ και φυσικά δεν μας δίνουν τα λεφτά μας πίσω. Τζάμπα τα χρήματα μας αλλά σας τα χαρίζουμε αφού έχετε ανάγκη 270€.

Η εμπειρία μου με αυτό το κατάλυμα δεν έχει να κάνει με τη διαμονή και τις παροχές του , καθώς δεν καταφέραμε να μείνουμε ποτέ ! Κλείσαμε μέσω *********** ένα δωμάτιο με διπλό κρεβάτι. Δεν πρόσεξα ότι το check in είναι μέχρι τις 21:00! Φυσικά αυτό είναι δικό μου λάθος , δεν το γράφει όμως στις εμφανείς πληροφορίες. Η αλήθεια είναι ότι η ιδιοκτήτρια κάλεσε στο κινητό της αδελφής μου , το οποίο είχε αποθηκευτεί στην πλατφόρμα από προηγούμενη κράτηση,όμως η αδελφή μου εργαζότανε και δεν απάντησε , παρόλα αυτά στη booking είχα δηλώσει ώρα άφιξης. Οδηγούσα και δεν είχα δει το email επιβεβαίωσης της κράτησης. Όταν φτάσαμε στις 23:00 στο πανέμορφο Ναύπλιο ερχόμενοι από τη Ρόδο , το ξενοδοχείο ήταν κλειστό. Καλέσαμε πάνω από 20 φορές το emergency phone , δεν απάντησε όμως ποτέ κανείς. Αναγκαστήκαμε μες στη νύχτα να ψάχνουμε άλλο ξενοδοχείο και να ξαναπληρώσουμε άλλα 50 ευρώ. Έστειλα email στη booking και στο κατάλυμα ζητώντας επιστροφή χρημάτων ή έστω διαμονή την επόμενη μέρα. H ιδιοκτήτρια ήταν ξεκάθαρα αντιτουριστική και αντιεπαγγελματίας. Στο τηλέφωνο δεν με άφησε καν να μιλήσω και να της εξηγήσω τι έγινε , από κοντά δε που πήγαμε να τη συναντήσουμε , ήταν ακόμα χειρότερη. Δεν το συζήτησε καν για επιστροφή χρημάτων - το no show είναι 100% κέρδος για το ξενοδοχείο άλλωστε-και δεν δέχτηκε να μείνουμε την επόμενη μέρα σε εκείνους, έστω ως μεταφορά της κράτησης για την επόμενη μέρα. Με ειρωνεύτηκε όταν της είπα ότι εργάζομαι κι εγώ σε ξενοδοχείο λέγοντας μου ότι δε γνωρίζω τη δουλειά μου. Φυσικά και δεν είμαι παράφρων , αναγνωρίζω ότι είχαμε ευθύνη σε όλο αυτό που συνέβη. Αλλά πείτε μου κάποιος , στο ανθρώπινο κομμάτι , αφήνετε έναν πελάτη να μείνει στο δρόμο και να ψάχνει άλλο δωμάτιο μες στη νύχτα ; Δεν απαντάς στα τηλέφωνα έστω ; Έχεις το θράσος να του λες ότι μένεις εκεί δίπλα αλλά δεν απάντησες το τηλέφωνο , για να πας να τους ανοίξεις να κοιμηθούν ; Το δωμάτιο κενό έμεινε φυσικά , η κυρία τα τσέπωσε κανονικά. Την έβρισα φυσικά στο τέλος γιατί ο τρόπος της ήταν απαράδεκτος. Θα μπορούσε έστω να απαντήσει το τηλέφωνο και να μας διώξει, όχι να μας πει ότι μένει δίπλα και ότι δεν απαντούσε το τηλέφωνο , έτσι γιατί απλά έκανε αυτό που ήθελε κι ότι δεν μας πέφτει λόγος εμάς. Συγχαρητήρια για τη συμπεριφορά σας. Και εύχομαι σε όλο τον κόσμο που βγάζει χρήματα να προσέξει και να μην αλλοιώσει την ανθρώπινη πλευρά του.

Reservo dos camas individuales en un hotel de 4 estrellas en Nauplia, el más caro de mi viaje en el país Obtengo una habitación cutre y sin ventana (ver foto adjunta) con una cama de matrimonio Al quejarme, la recepcionista me dice que solo hay habitaciones con cama doble, que es un hotel pequeño y no sé que más me cuenta, y me dice que durmamos uno con la sábana y otro con la manta ¿? En el baño por cierto no hay secador No puedo esperar gran cosa del buffet de mañana y solo me queda asumir que he sido timado. deberían sacar este “hotel” de circulación, aunque me conformo con salvar a alguien que lea esta reseña a tiempo.

Nous confirmons que c’est une adresse à éviter absolument. Nous étions dans une annexe de l’hôtel, l’appartement Rodi. Les chambres étaient glaciales. La température y était de 5 degrés. Quand nous avons demandé d’allumer le chauffage, on nous a répondu qu’il n’était pas mentionné dans l’annonce que c’était chauffage compris et que nous devrions payer 40Euros supplémentaires par nuit si nous voulions du chauffage. Pour ceux qui viendraient l’été, les chambres n’ont pas de climatiseur non plus. Pas la moindre marque de compassion de la part de la femme qui nous a accueilli, pas la moindre possibilité de discuter. Nous avons dû prendre un autre hôtel à nos propres frais. C’est la pire expérience d’hôtel en Grèce alors que j’ai eu l’occasion de tester beaucoup d’hôtels en Grèce. A éviter absolument!
