Great location, easy remote operated check in service. Communal area presented well. The lift worked to go upwards from ground to level one, but it wasn’t functioning when we left (downwards function from level one to ground). Room 1 - upon entering had a horrible dirty shoe smell. It has a major shower drainage problem where the fall of the shower floor runs into the room, possibly over time water on the carpet is causing the constant smell. The hand basin drain was also blocked. The renovation was modern, however the wear and tear is now evident. Could do with a bond clean and some maintenance. The ratings could improve easily if maintenance and cleanliness were addressed because the service and location are great.

One roll of toilet paper for a two week booking. When you request your sheets or towels changed they refuse. You have to empty your own bins with no fresh bags. Room had prison cell vibes with a terrible view of a back alley. Also found someone’s left behind BDSM chains down the side of the desk that the cleaners (if they exist) missed. Location is the only semi redeeming factor.

Wrong code for the Front entry door was sent to me via SMS. Fortunately, I arrived at 16.30 & somebody was in the communal area and let me in. Apparently, I was the 5th person who has been given a wrong code. What would have happened if I arrived at 10 pm? I would have been locked out and slept on the street? Studio is advertised for 2 people. It would have been a tight squeeze, and nowhere to sit but on the bed. Fortunately, my friend did not come. There was only 1 broken chair in the room (yet the studio is for 2 people) The chair was broken, the lift mechanism did not work and the chair stayed low. It was also dirty. The carpet in the room was stained and could do with a proper clean. TV - no manual provided. It took a while to work out how to get a simple ABC news channel. the other “smart” TV availability could not be logged on because of lack of the manual. Cutlery, plates and bowls provided for 2 but no sharp knife to cut e.g. a tomato or similar.No T.towel, washing up liquid, sponge provided to do wash up. A little wooden box with 4 T-bags and few international coffee sachets, NOT enough for 2 people for 2 days. It was not replenished during my stay Shower - the small hand-held shower head leaks from the hose. There is a big overhead shower head, but not usable if you don’t want to wet your hair. Microwave in the fridge is a bonus, so is the little fridge. Bed linen clean & crispy, so were the towels.
