The Henry Collins Inn

We arrived yesterday for our overnight stay. We were greeted by Alexis who was pleasant and very helpful. The Henry Collins Inn is a quirky older building with off street parking. We had room 5 which is a nice comfortable room with a comfortable bed. All the main shops and restaurants are easily within walking distance. Would happily stay here again !!!

We really enjoyed our stay at this inn. The location was great - we were walking distance from everywhere in town. And, took bus 67 to the cliff walk and the mansions when we didn't feel like driving and parking. The breakfast was lovely, and we enjoyed talking with the friendly owner.

There is no better experience in Newport, Rhode Island than a stay at the Henry Collins Inn. Located in the middle of town right in the midst of all the quaint shops and a wide variety of restaurants, the Inn is a special gem. The room we stayed in was clean, pretty, with a lot of character. It had a TV, refrigerator and a very large bathroom. The WiFi worked well. Each morning we had a breakfast in the downstairs kitchen area with Alexis, the owner, cook and interesting host. She gave us tips about sight-seeing for our visit. The Inn was close enough to walk to the Trolley Tour area that we took to see the Gilded Age mansions and other Newport attractions. I highly recommend the warm and friendly atmosphere of staying at the Henry Collins bed and breakfast over any other corporate hotel.

We spent a couple of nights at this hotel earlier this year and highly recommend it if you are staying in Newport. Our room was huge with lots of useful amenities. The hotel is within an easy walk of the city center and there are also a number of bars and restaurants very close by. Parking space for our car was included in the rate. The lovely owner Alexis also serves a wonderful breakfast spread - the best we had on our trip - and we had some fascinating chats over breakfast. Hope to be able to return one day. Many thanks!

Perfect location close to town but outside all the traffic and hustle and bustle. Alexis was very personable and served the most amazing breakfast!!! Where else could you get a personally cooked fruit PIE to add to a complete breakfast! Clean Rooms and Room #2 had its own little deck. We walked into town a few times and having parking included was a big bonus. Next time we go to Newport we'll book at the Henry Collins again

Un petit hôtel familial très cosy ou l'on est extrêmement bien accueilli. Chambres très propres. Acces facile et parking . Bien situé dans Newport, en plein centre, mais au calme.Petit déjeuner fait maison avec de succulentes tourtes sucrées.
