I've stayed in Norwich eighteen times since 2004, my usual hotel has gone down a bit since the death of the previous owner, so gave this a try. It's certainly central, two minutes walk to railway station, only one hotel is slightly nearer, but it looks scruffy and is poorly rated on TA. Regular 23/24 buses at nearby Wensum House stop to the main shopping area around Castle Meadow, The Central is smart and comfortable, friendly staff. My en suite room had double bed and enough draw space, I hate minimalist furnishing where you have to leave your things on top of the table or wardrobe. One thing I soon noticed was the instant hot water, we've probably all been in hotels where you run the hot tap for several minutes before giving up and boiling some in the kettle. Can't comment on breakfast, I always have it in the nearby Queen of Iceni (Wetherspoon). See you next year.
