This hotel is a proof that you don’t need to be a hippie to be eco-friendly. It’s a very cozy hotel with a great location. Positive: - Bed: I cannot describe how comfortable the bed and the covers were! I had amazing sleep - Location: only 3 min away by foot from National Theatre station which is directly connected to the Airport. Also at a walking distance to the royal palace and to the city center where you have all the Christmas markets and shops. The opera is only about 20 min walking. Finally the neighborhood itself is very beautiful and has many nice restaurants, parks and convenience stores. Really liked this part of Oslo. - Breakfast: organic breakfast with very good quality, really liked all the food there - Sustainability: my understanding is all the laundry and cleaning is done with eco-friendly procedures. Negative: - Elevator: it was broken and they told me it would not be repaired until January/February 2023! They gave me a room in the 6th floor and I was carrying a 26kg piece of luggage. I’m young and going upstairs with the luggage was not a problem for me but this won’t be suitable for elders or people with reduced mobility. Ask about the elevator before booking a room here ! - Room promised: days before arriving I asked for a room with a decent table since I had to work for 2 days from my laptop. They confirmed they would give me an appropriate room. However when I got to my room on the 6th floor (without elevator) I found myself with a table 20 cm wide and with no space for me to sit (the rooms are tiny). I felt like they were laughing at me - Sauna: I have never ever stayed in a hotel with a sauna where they charge guests to use it ! Well, this hotel does and it is not cheap. This was really disappointing Overall my stay was really good here, however I cannot give 5* to this hotel given the 3 negative things I mentioned.
