Hotel Albert II Oostende

Whist the hotel is beautifully located for the town and CHristmas markets, when we went there where some issues. There is a small lift to gain access or some very steep, unlit stairs, dragging your case up them was a life and death moment. We where checked in and given a room key (room 124) the room was 'small' but functional. The bed clean. Our main issue was the temperature. The room was really really cold. We tried to turn up the radiator but to no avail. We stayed at this hotel as part of a Christmas market package so arrived with approx.50 other guests who all complained about the lack of heating. some where given extra duvets, some electric heaters, we had nothing. The website for the hotel says there is a warm welcoming bar area,,,,,,this was not in operation when we went. Breakfast was advertised as continental, which it was, coffee/tea, orange juice, yogurts, pastries (mainy fresh) toast and scrambled egg and bacon. Sadly the warm food wasnt warm and the room in which we ate was also freezing , you needed to wear your coat while you ate. This is a budget hotel, we didnt expect the savoy, but the lack of heating made it really quite uncomfortable. Would we stay again? no, never. Its a shame as the building is actually one of the historic buildings in the town and potentially really grand and beautiful, but without heating , when its -3 outside and not much warmer inside, its not somewhere id like to go again.

No heating on the first day, when it did come on it was only very slight Room nothing like the pictures on website, very basic indeed Breakfast was okay and so was the location Homeless man did come and join paying guests in the restaurant !! Then no hot water on the morning of the 2nd day, this wasn't resolved and eventually we had had enough and left without staying the second night No apologies or complementation offered - which is disappointing. No response received to the feedback submitted via ***********

Mr. Yu was so gracious and helpful. He answered every question I had about the hotel and Ostend. The employees were very kind and the free breakfast was a treat. The proximity to the beach is hard to beat. The rooms were very clean, too. I had such a good time that I will be back this week with some guests from the US. Can't wait!

Prima lokatie maar verouderde kamers, de deurknop viel er spontaan af, even als het handdoekrek. Als je de ramen opendoet enorm lawaai van meeuwen. Ontbijt ok, maar voor dat geld erg beperkt. De lokatie is wel heel fijn dus voor een weekend ok. De andere hotels waren ook aanmerkelijk duurder.

Jammer naar al die jaren was het nu echt slecht Eten was niet goed Slaapkamer veel te klein. Bad was stuk en klein Nee voor ons de laatste keer .jammer Maar personeel was lief . Maar oké zijn ze overal .. Volgende keer verder zoeken Maar was gezellig in Oostende

Contrairement à ce qui est parfois annoncé, l’hôtel ne bénéficie pas de parking. Il est situé dans une allée piétonne et il faudra débourser 30 € pour aller dans un souterrain. Le prix de l’etablissement est très correct mais la propreté n’était pas au rendez-vous. Le distributeur de gel douche, lui, ne fonctionnait pas. Literie correcte et petit déjeuner relativement simple. Ça passe pour une fois mais c’est tout….

Hôtel peu entretenu, presque sinistre, tendance vétuste. A part la jolie devanture (trompeuse) et la salle du petit déjeuner, tout le reste est glauque : la réception, les couloirs ET notre chambre qui ne devrait clairement pas être commercialisée ! Minuscule, spartiate, sans confort, sans rangement, comprenant 2 lits séparés moins larges qu’une banquette de bus. Jamais vu ça ! Forte odeur de moisie, ménage PAS FAIT sur les 2 nuits passées et vue horrible sur un mur et une coure insalubre. Salle de bain peu engageante et peu éclairée. Accueil tout juste moyen et peu dispo en dehors des « heures de bureaux » Pour finir une terrasse extérieure totalement insalubre au mobilier honteusement décati. Bref une adresse peu recommandable. Il est évident que nous n’y remettrons jamais les pieds.

Hôtel dans le centre d ostende, à proximité des magasins ,restaurants , plage, bars, arrêt du tram à 200m et à moins d'un kilomètre de la gare centrale. Chambre correcte et propre . bonne literie, salle de bain assez petite. Déjeuner basique mais bon. Personnel aimable. Bon rapport qualité prix pour un week end à la mer

Voor 1 nacht , oké. Ruime kamer !! Goede ligging , dichtbij het strand en de winkels Heel slechte afwerking in de kamer… Als je tevreden bent met gewoon Een slaap plek is dit prima ! Het is basic proper , zeker niet geweldig. Wat ons vooral stoorde , ‘s morgens kwamen we wel 3/4 personeelsleden tegen op de gang , GEEN ENKELE zei goedemorgen of was vriendelijk …. Dit stoort meer , dan dat het niet helemaal proper was… Vriendelijkheid kost toch niets ?! En als je er werkt ? De man achter de balie , was wel beleefd! Bij telefonisch contact werd gemeld dat er een frigo op de kamer zou zijn ( dit was niet Het geval ) Matig hotel voor ons :)
