Fireside Cabins

While the cabin was clean, number one thing on our list, it was pretty small even for just the 2 of us. The bathroom pedestal sink was pressed in between 2 walls with just enough room to turn around, but the rest was fine. The futon in the living room was old, hard and not very comfortable, but was really the only piece of furniture to sit on. The kitchen table was pushed into a corner and had to be pulled out to get at the second chair so could sit down. It was very noisy until about 3AM from the road noise due to the close proximity to the highway. TV was poor, stations changed everyday and list provided with channels was not even close to reality. On the positive side, had a good location; onsite short walk to the river; excellent service; nice little heater; comfortable bed; nice porch out front.

After a week of driving, visiting family in Denver, we wanted a place to decompress for a few days during the trip home. Fireside cabins was exactly what we were looking for. The cabin was quiet, very clean and well appointed. Check in was easy and the hosts go out of their way to provide you with all the information you need so you can settle in quickly. Both our front porch and the sitting areas by the river were such a relaxing treat. The kitchenette is well equipped for making a small meal. The bed was comfortable, nice shower. Can’t wait to return.

Our visit here was completely unplanned. We canceled our reservation at a nearby "resort" that we felt was profoundly misrepresented, and thanks to TripAdvisor we found this as a fall-back. It was absolutely wonderful. Our cabin was charming and it overlooked a nearby river. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. This was such a lucky break for us, and it is now a great memory.

This was our second trip to Pagosa Springs staying at Fireside Cabins. We have a family of 4 with two young adult sons. We stayed in a two-bedroom cabin. The cabin was cozy, but not too small. It was perfect for quality family time. The cabin was well equipped. I can’t think of anything that was missing. The cabin was immaculate! We loved the front porch! The cabins were fully booked over 4th of July week. We didn’t notice any noise from the road or other residents. We did notice the sound of the river which was so relaxing! We loved relaxing on the chairs by the river and star gazing at night too! We did follow the directions to keep the cabin cool as the temps were in the 80s. This kept the cabin cool during the day and chilly at night. One day, we forgot to close a window which resulted in the cabin being a little on the warm side. The drive downtown was easy. Every morning, we went to different places for coffee and brought it back to enjoy on the porch. I had a massage at the Overlift Hot Springs Spa (recommended by the owner) which was fantastic!

We spent five peaceful nights in a clean, comfortable two bedroom cabin on the river. The location was perfect for us...close to the amenities in town but far enough from the center of it to enjoy the peacefulness of nature.

This was a beautiful location! The cabins were next to the river with places to sit and enjoy the scenery. We were looking for dog friendly lodging and this was perfect! We had a one bedroom cabin which had plenty of room. We would stay here again!!

I stayed one night in a one bedroom cabin. The check-in staff person needs some training on friendliness and customer service. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. Futon sofa in the living room, small smart TV, efficiency kitchen with coffeemaker and fully stocked for self-cooking of meals. Walk in shower with shampoo, soap and blow dryer provided. Mattress was very comfortable and I slept well. Gas wood stove for heating and it was very sufficient for the size of the cabin. Hot tub on the grounds right across from Cabin 103, which I did not use. For work purposes, the wifi would go out intermittently so I decided to relax and not work. I would stay here again.

We brought food to heat up, but was afraid of the $50.00 fee if we hadn’t washed the dishes to their expectations. The TV only has location channel. We did something wrong and had to wait 15 minutes to try the TV again. So we left and found a good restaurant near by. The shower as so small I had to shave my legs in the sink. We had a cabin by the river. The small TV was in living area, and we like to watch TV in bed before we go to sleep. The main complaint was the price for this time of year.

Quaint, quiet, calming, warm, and clean. Love how private it felt and the ability to walk around the well manicured property. Dog friendly. Close to town and nature hikes. Looking forward to our next visit which I hope will be an entire week.
