My Husband and I arrived in this beautiful well looked after Beach hotel. Kristos met us and made us feel very welcome. He explained the hotel and facilities whilst we stood on our balcony over looking the ionion sea , it was early hours in the morning and the sound of the waves was so relaxing. Had breakfast in the Infinity over looking the beach a couple of times, which we booked as part of our Jet2 package . Not for me I'm afraid very limited and my husband thought it was too , the coffee was nice which i always find in hotels the coffee is not to standard, however this was very nice for the rest of the week we decided to skip breakfast and enjoy lunch out and about. We had a coupe of extremely nice lunches here at the Hotel , what made it for us is the hospitality of the waiters and waitresses, food was well presented. NOW THEN ...Sun beds on the beach right opposite of the Hotel !! they actually charge you !! yes charge you , 10 euros a day plus a brolly , So we opted to go to the end of the beach where you get a free bed a towel and waiter service all day .I think Ionion Beach you should look at a system where your hotel clients are not charged so we can eat and drink at the Hotel whilst here. That's the only complaint we have. Our room over looked the sea OMG what a view . I loved the mornings sitting with a coffee looking out, watching the world go by and looking at the yachts coming and going . Its not for the faint hearted its for the fit , if you are happy to walk those high pathways go for it we did.. You can take the water taxi, i thought the drivers were extremely ignorant not friendly , but its the only way to avoid the walk to Parga town . I loved the town lts of tiny streets and 100s of Tavernas, dont follow the crowed do your own thing all the Tavernas are good and lots of choice. Meals are expensive, well everything is . We spent £200 a day, you cant avoid it a meal is between £50 and £75 i suppose you can grab a Giros Pita and walk around with it, Not the same is it. So Greece is not what it used to be I'm afraid , but its all worth it ... Take a trip to Paxo's on the Big boat we did the Big blue one .. absolutely worth every penny , we hired a speed boat and went out and about, that's a great day if you fancy it. I'm not going to recommend Tavernas they are all much of a muchness , people follow like sheep and stand outside for an hour because someone told them this is the best .. Back to the Ionion Beach Hotel this is a must . The rooms are clean, showers tiny and a silly shower curtain which sticks to you Ha ha ha !! in this day and age .. Ionion get the shower curtain out and invest in a screen. Thankyou to Antonis on the reception great guy .
