Parea Paros - Adults Only

Bit of an inexplicable mixed bag... and a bit style over substance. If a hotel's aesthetic and vibe is the thing that matters to you most, and Parea's 'look' is up your street, you'll love this place. But in terms of substance some things are really lacking... firstly the hotel parking lot is tiny and reached via a single dirt track. We arrived late, found the lot full and had to then reverse 200 yards to get out and park off the main road. The following morning over breakfast there was much discussion between other guests asking others to move their vehicles to get out etc.... not really acceptable for a mid scale hotel, and we'd have rather been told up front about their limited spaces so we didn't have a stressful 20 mins trying to park. Our room was fine but the balcony tiny (despite being a 'panoramic suite') and some fixtures and fittings in the room v. cheap, e.g. toilet roll holder broken, budget TV set etc. Water chargeable at a euro a bottle, first time I've ever experienced that in a Greek hotel. Not much room around the pool and slippy surfaces... but hey it all looks great on insta ;-) On the upside, the breakfast, which the hotel for some weird reason refuses to call a breakfast presumably as doing so wouldn't be cool, is very nice. Also, regarding the comments about the long walk to town, its barely 15 mins and rather lovely after 5 mins walking down the main road. You then turn left and go along pretty lanes and past windmills with lovely views with steps down to the bay... just lovely.

This is a hotel we would return to again in a heartbeat. The setting, rooms, facilities and staff made our stay 5 star. The only downside is the walk down to the port area can be a little scary! Hats off to Alex and Amarni who made our stay so memorable.

Gorgeous hotel, location was a little further than we anticipated. The staff were really friendly, the room and pool was so beautiful and clean. It’s a quiet hotel with good music and a bar during pool hours. The 10 minute walk to town is on a busy road, up hill so not the safest in the dark. We’d recommend getting an ATV to stay at this hotel and best explore Paros.

A lovely Grecian style room with a gift on arrival; a small bottle of ouzo and cotton beach bag. It was easy walking into the main area of Parika which is where many restaurants are. The hotel breakfast was light and tasty and the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable on beaches and beach clubs in Paros.

The photos and reviews of this place don’t do it justice. An amazing hotel, just a 10 minute leisurely walk to the middle of Parikia. We were greeted by the 2 guys who run the place (so sorry, can’t remember their names) and showed to our room which was perfect. The pool is relatively small but great for dipping in and out while lounging (with a drink). Ferries were cancelled during our stay but the guys sorted us a room for another night which relieved a lot of stress for us. Would highly recommend this hotel - it really made our time in Paros!

We had an amazing time at PAREA. The place is made for relaxing. The room was excellent with great views over the bay. We enjoyed the pool area which also included a great view with some amazing sunsets. The staff made the whole experience even better - they were welcoming and serviceminded. We can truly recommend this place for everybody who wishes to relax in a paradise setting.

Our stay at Parea Paros was amazing from start to finish. The hotel is beautiful. When we arrived in our room a complimentary bottle of Ouzo was waiting for us which was a lovely touch. The pool/bar area is so clean and has gorgeous views of the sea, making it the perfect place to watch the sunset. The hotel is walking distance to little shops and Parikia town so it’s in a great location. It’s also right near the port. The rooms are spacious, clean and have great decor. Our mini fridge was always fully stocked with water and was spotless each time we returned to our room in the evening. The staff here are wonderful and couldn’t be more accommodating. They are so friendly and always willing to help, even handing out complimentary cocktails around the pool which were lovely! They were always chatting to everyone each morning during breakfast, asking how our evenings were and what our plans were for the day. Even though breakfast is not included with the hotel, each morning there was a spread of pastries, Greek yogurt, granola, honey, fresh fruit, sandwiches and coffee - all free of charge! This hotel is wonderful and I would 100% recommend to anyone planning on coming to Paros.

Loved our stay here at the end of July, the room was big and spacious with amazing beach views and outdoor seating area. Its recently opened up so everything looks fresh and new - We were given a little gift bag and Ouzo as a welcome gift which we loved! The Staff were so kind and a big shoutout to Kosta who came to pick us up from the ferry port to take us to the hotel when our ferry got in late and no taxis were around! really appreciate that :) Would recommend to everyone and we can't wait to come back

This little place is such a glorious, cool retreat. No kids so it’s lovely and peaceful but there’s always some tasteful background music around the bar and pool and the staff are really friendly, welcoming and fun. Costas was terrific. As we arrived he showed us our beautiful suite, complete with welcome gifts of a hat and bag and in the mornings, although there is no official breakfast, there was an ample supply of Greek yoghurt, fruit, muesli and honey. The pool is small and clean and the bar is little and very cool, perfectly situated to watch the sunset. The beach is just a few mins walk, although the road is bumpy and you’ll need to take care! But there are more beautiful beaches a little way away. I’d recommend a short ferry to nearby Martselo beach. Stunning! Also a short walk away are lots of gorgeous restaurants at the port and markets with great stuff for sale. We stayed two days and it was gorgeous!
