Difficult to find fault with this one. Would point out that if you want liveliness and a loud music scene this is not for you. If you are looking for true relaxation with peace and attentive care then this is the best place. Properly chilled here. Would recommend a room with private pool which we made the best of. Great care from staff including Tasos and Milanos who looked after every need in restaurants. Great bar staff again very attentive from Gergio and Christos. Care taken to ensure allergy needs met. Straight into the beach. If there was anything then whilst they promise not to permit sun bed hogging beyond an hour this was not policed. Probably due to being small and trying to please all. Everyone we met celebrated the hotel and general environment. Will be heading back.

The Hotel is suited in a very quite area with not much in the way of shops and restaurants, i am not sure of the local transport but would recommend hiring a car to explore the island. We arrived at the Hotel to be assigned room 222, it was spacious and clean, but overlooked the main car park. The main problem was underneath the room was a storage area and most mornings at about 0600 it became very noisy with workers moving equipment and banging around. The main restaurant is situated near the pool the staff are very friendly and make you welcome, Breakfast is OK with the usual hot and cold food, the toaster is decrepit and only some of the slots work, but its useful for warming your plate as they are cold and the food is only warm, I did mention this to the staff but nothing was done. The evening meal was disappointing, only a small selection of bread was available and again plates were cold with food only warm, the choice of warm food was poor, although the roast meat was enjoyed by the Cats! The choice of deserts was extremely poor with only a few cakes and no ice cream, no Tea or Coffee was offered at the end of the meal.

Just finished a Fantastic 10 days here at Asterion suite Very quiet and relaxing We had the kingdom suite which is 2 bedrooms with its own seperate lounge and a balcolny view looking down to the sea Our room was kept spotless each day by the fantastic cleaning ladies Only 1 pool but plenty of sunbeds and free towels daily to use and plenty of sunbeds on the beach The beach in front of the hotel has a promenade which you can walk along to which brings you to a couple of tavernas and supermarkets its about a 20 min walk The staff were fantastic manilos and maria in the restaurant were always pleasent and helpful i would like to mention all the staff if i had their names as they were all fantastic and always had smiles on their faces and were ready to help Breakfast buffet lovely what you expect from all inclusive full english fruit yoghurt pastries Lunch is chosen off a set menu the lunch time meals are very filling as most come withpotato wedges Evening meal is either buffet which has a good range of different foods each night or pre book in the 35 degrees restaurant which has a lovely menu to choose from Drinks are available to order from your sunbeds a really good range and named spirits are used good cocktails too There are a couple of bus stops near By if you want to venture out or there are trips available from reception that pick you up outside the hotel We did the olive oil factory and wine tasting trip its 100 euros each but a good day out with lunch included This hotel isn’t really near anywhere but is a good place to stop chill and relax Definately recommend it

George Komporakis The Asterion General Manager heads up a team who are dedicated to exceptional customer service and customer experience. The location literally 20 meters from the warm Cretan Sea is very well appointed, each room receives the highest level of attention and care from an expert team of housekeepers and customer service personnel. The main restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes to enjoy at breakfast and lunch and in the evening there is a daily changing buffet such as Greek cuisine, Italian, Mediterranean etc. I must just say a very special thank you to Manolis and Tasos for making our meal times fun, enjoyable and joyful. Additionally there is Cretan à la carte restaurant named 35°; which boasts dishes such as lobster spaghetti perfectly prepared salted baked sea bream cooked to perfection, of course Moussaka just as one would expect made from recipe handed down over the generations, Wagyu Rib Eye Steak and many other mouthwatering dishes. Chocolate Sphere, Orange Pie just two of the sumptuous desserts. There is absolutely nothing that George’s team will not do for each guest. As George told me “we employ a team of real people, who have Cretan hospitality in their DNA” This is absolutely true. Every contact with any team member is a genuine engagement with care and passion. If you want exceptional service, if you want to base yourself in a quality venue that makes touring Crete easy we had a car, but there is a good bus service The joy of staying at Asterion Suites & Spa is after a day of exploring or a night visiting Chania old town which is a must you have a sense of coming home to family and friends. We had a fantastic stay at The Asterion Suites and Spa. We couldn't fault the service from start to finish. The accomodation was comfortable and clean. All staff were extremely helpful, polite and nothing was too much trouble. We hope to be back soon for another relaxing break.

What a holiday. My partner and I have just returned from a week at Asterion Hotel, we were so emotional leaving as our experience was just incredible. We are quite particular about service and hotels, and this one didn’t disappoint. We had a beautiful room with a swim up pool, the beach was immaculate as was the shared main pool area. We upgraded to half board as the hotel food is miles above the neighbouring restaurants. One tip - do not go to the restaurant directly to the left of the hotel if you’re looking to the sea, under the trees - we had awful service (not part of Asterion). Christos made our entire holiday, he became our friend and we are very grateful for how he treated us throughout our stay! He is certainly the main reason that we will be coming back. Manolis was brilliant also, his service and attention to detail was faultless. Antonis too, he always gave us a smile and was great behind the bar! Thank you for helping us switch off and create some brilliant memories. We will be back! Xx

WOW this place is amazing. When we stayed here we felt like millionaires. This is the best all inclusive hotel we have ever visited and we’ve already decided we’ll be coming back again next year! This place takes everything lovely about a holiday in Greece and just elevates it into pure luxury. As an all inclusive guest you can dine every day in the restaurant which is A La Carte. There are a few items with a supplement like steak, lobster and jumbo king prawns but the tasting menu is actually included and was absolutely knock out. The beef stiffado was outstanding. The lamb shank, Dakos, Village Aubergine, and the Orange Cake and the chocolate mousse were also amazing. The quality of the breakfast, lunch and pool snacks is also exceptional, along with the drinks which are all made with care and with proper spirits… The best thing about this hotel is how boutique it is, it has an intimate feeling. We have been to all inclusives before where everything is cheap, cheerful, loud and busy, but this hotel is nothing like those places. No fighting over sunloungers! We could get one every day, at any time of the day by the beach or by the pool. The loungers were so comfortable that we actually ended up taking our afternoon naps by the pool! Everything is of outstanding quality, the facilities are spotlessly clean and the staff are so friendly and true professionals. The manager of the restaurant was the absolute best. He was so knowledgeable about wine pairing and such a lovely guy to speak to, really friendly and took a lot of pride in the restaurant and his work. You can tell the staff here enjoy their jobs and their pride in the hotel shows. This is such a relaxing hotel too. You can come here and actually rest. I usually struggle with sleep and can’t wait to get back to my own bed, but the bed here was so good I had fantastic sleep every night. We stayed in a planet room with a balcony which was wonderfully furnished and so spacious. We loved it so much we actually wanted to stay another night but couldn’t get the flights sorted, otherwise we would have. Wonderful hotel, outstanding quality, fantastic staff. We only stayed for 4 nights/5 days but felt more relaxed than on other holidays where we’ve stayed for 12 nights. Amazing job we can’t wait to return!
