Villas Heredad Kamezi

I am hesitant to share this idyllic villa complex as it is so lovely ! Just enjoyed a perfect 4 nights stay at the Kamezi , the villa, the personnel , the breakfasts, the spa treatments and a fantastic Michelin star dinner all culminated in a perfect breakaway. A lovely touch was a delicious cake and bubbles presented to my daughter on her birthday. We also learnt that the owners have a charitable interest in helping Dyslexic children and a fine vineyard on the main land !

The most peaceful 9 days holiday! From start to finish it was wonderful. If I had to give it any critique it would be the towels probably need to be replaced. Considering how beautiful everything else is, they are just a little tired. But they did not make the stay any less perfect. Will definitely be returning next year!

We’ve been coming to Kamezi for a number of years and have seen it grow to an upmarket development with luxurious stylish villas. The breakfasts are good value and it’s great to have them delivered to the villa. The new rooftop cocktail bar with views over to Fuerteventura is a welcome addition and we used it on our arrival day as we’d arrived before the villa had been cleaned. Due to the number of years we’ve been coming, we’re entitled to a free dinner, but we had the tapas menu instead and it was great to be able to sit in the pod, relax and watch the world go by. We come back to the villas because the complex is so peaceful and feels very safe.

Sadly this was not for us and we found Kamezi really disappointing for myself, my husband and our teenager. We had booked directly after reading reviews and carefully considering our options on their website. We stayed in July which was quite expensive but we really thought it would be worth it. Unfortunately we had a number of maintenance issues with the villa which meant we had to report issues most days. Issues included no hot water for our showers in the evening, an insecure door allowing anyone to come through as the lock didn’t work and the door just swung open, the pool/terrace not being cleaned, and a constant drip from a leaking pipe outside our bedroom window. We were told our pool would be cleaned every three days but it wasn’t cleaned until day 5 and we were promised it would thereafter be cleaned everyday (due to this and other issues)…but it wasn’t cleaned on day 7 which was yet another call to customer service to accompany our other further issues. We didn’t need the pool cleaned everyday but it was meant to be a reassurance due to the numerous issues we’d been having and they couldn’t even follow through with that… I spoke to the Managing Director on day 4 who promised he’d get back to us in an hour…there was no sign of him but he did send Jillian to speak with us. Jillian is just lovely and a credit to Kamezi but I know there’s only so much she could do. We were gifted one drink each in the bistro as a means of apology which was nice. We also received a very minor refund which we’d have given up 100% to not have the issues we did It’s worth nothing there’s no air con in the villas. They kindly put fans in a couple of the rooms and my goodness, they were needed. I don’t understand why this isn’t an issue for others as the bedrooms especially were stifling with the July heat. Breakfast was enjoyable but a bit samey for the 9 nights we were there. Would’ve been nice to mix it up a bit perhaps adding yogurt, muesli or similar. The messaging service on the app wasn’t great - our first morning it took 2.5 hours for someone to get back to us. It wasn’t urgent but thought it might be a bit more efficient. We took pics of some wear and tear at the two bed Ocean villa we stayed in. This included a view to a lamppost which, albeit didn’t belong to Kamezi, was not pleasant to look at For the money we paid and the fancy website, we expected so much more. It had a beautiful setting / views and we loved Playa Blanca and will return, just not to Kamezi unfortunately.

Kamezí is simply wonderful! We have just enjoyed our 3rd visit with the family and just love every minute here. Beautiful and comfortable accommodation coupled with an uber chilled vibe with staff who go out of their way to make your stay the best. Special thanks to Gillian for being so kind, helpful and engaging - we were delighted to see her again, having been looked after by her last year. The cocktail bar is a great addition and the on site shop seems better stocked than ever before. The breakfast, with fresh bread and pastries, is a delight. Love the location. Out of the main centre but beautifully located on the coastline with a walk into town which never seems to disappoint. A great place to chilax and enjoy the blue skies and sunshine in gorgeous surroundings. Will we return? Absolutely. Keep up the great work!

Myself & the Mrs had an exquisite afternoon in an Ocean Pod having had the 10 course Tapas set menu. Food excellent, staff excellent & the setting was excellent. We arrived early so went up the steps to the cocktail lounge & indulged in a few several whilst gazing into the very blue Atlantic from our vantage point. At 12.55 we made our way down to reception for our 1pm Pod booking. We vacated at 3pm full & very happy. If you are a romantic then, for me, you cant whack it. The Pod's are only bookable for Sunday's & Monday's & you have to do it in advance as they are so popular & rightly so. Our bill was 125 Euros which included drinks. It's sophisticated without the pretence. Would thoroughly recommend it.
