Hotel Müller - Mountain Lodge

This was our third visit to The Muller and as always the service was outstanding. We were delighted to see all the same staff from last year. The rooms and common areas are spotless. Breakfast is ample with fruit, meats, cheeses and eggs. I would recommend half board as dinner is excellent.

We had a family group of 6 people and the rooms and food were both outstanding. Our stay was delightful except....... one person in our party fell on a trail and was badly cut requiring 15 stitches. On our way to the trailhead we called the hotel and they had a car waiting for us to take us to the nearest hospital and provided a return ride at no additional cost to us. They couldn't have been more helpful and concerned for us and we certainly will return there when we are back in Pontresina. It really is a fine hotel.

I hesitate to write this review, because I typically try to work things out directly with the property / restaurant, but my husband and I had a very off-putting experience at this hotel, which was the last accommodation of an amazing 2 week hiking trip through Switzerland. This hotel was booked well over a year ago through a tour company we used for our self-guided 2 week trip. At that time we requested an upgrade to a junior suite as pictured on their website (big windows, lots of light, sitting area) - the request was granted and we paid the junior suite rate. We arrived after a long day of traveling and were shown across the street to a 2BR 2BA suite in an old historic bldg (Ca Rossa Suite Satory). You might think - wow that's great. However the suite was very dark due to small windows that sat high on the wall, very hot / stuffy, little air flow and had very low door frames that my husband worried about bumping into (it is a renovated historic bldg). Although spacious, this was literally the COMPLETE OPPOSITE of the type of room I would ever choose to stay in - - you couldn't see out the windows unless you were standing and there was no view whatsoever. It was completely depressing to me. I went across the street to request a fan and asked a woman (who turns out to be an owner) why we were in that room. She responded with some indignation.....because you got an upgrade...... to which I responded that we booked a junior suite well over a year ago..... she proceeds to tell me that this is the busiest 2 weeks of the summer and many of her "regulars" that stay a full week were there, so she had to move us or CANCEL OUR RESERVATION. I was stunned. I've never in all my years traveling had anyone basically say, we moved you, despite your confirmed reservation, because otherwise we could have had to cancel your reservation. We were not given an options / choices that might have been more to our preference. It was assumed we would be "happy" with this "upgrade" - - she was obviously put-off that I wasn't thanking her for this upgrade we didn't want. It's only an upgrade if it's something your customer wants. And a historic bldg, with little light, little air movement, no view, that's like a cave is not my idea of an upgrade. It was such a disappointing end to 14 wonderful days staying at wonderful accommodations, with kind friendly owners. This was not the way you treat guests of your property, even if they're not your "regulars"

Hotel Mûller is in a great central position in Pontresina. We had a fantastic room with balcony overlooking the mountains. The welcome drink was a nice touch. The room was spotless, roomy and they provided slippers, robes, water, coffee, fruit, sweets and plenty of toiletries. The restaurant was very good and the breakfasts had plenty of choice to suit all tastes. If you are English and like your tea do take a travel kettle as there was none in the room - and your own T-bags!! The beds and pillows were so comfortable. The travel pass was a gem, we used it every day for transport and it saved us a lot of money- fantastic! The staff were all delightful - Would highly recommend.

Very nice and friendly. Families are welcome! We stayed in an apartment, but had breakfast in the hotel. The staff was very helpful with anything we needed for our baby daughter. Dinner was delicious and so was breakfast. The apartment was super clean with a cozy atmosphere.

Excellent hotel in scenic Pontresina close to St Moritz. Hotel staff are exceptionally hospitable and helpful in providing us hiking options and transport from the Pontresina train late at night. Thanks, Katrine! Rustic feel building, furniture with modern touch. Beds are comfortable. Room with big windows overlooking the mountains .

We ate dinner at the hotel each of the three nights that we stayed at the hotel. Our waiter, Antonio, was amazing. After the first night when we requested things like ice and butter, we found these items at our table when we arrived the second night. The food was delicious and filling. The breakfast was good, too. We liked the location of the hotel and we thought the price was fair.

We spent 6 nights, and this hotel is simply brilliant. In a perfect central location, close to the main lift with free parking at the side and the back (if there is space, which there was even at the end of July). The rooms are lovely and cleaned meticiously every day. The service and food are excellent with all staff really friendly and efficent, we never had to wait on any order, be it breakfast or dinner. The spa area is luxorious and just perfect after a day of activity. The hotel also offers lovely extras suxh as free bus passes, cocktails on arrival (or later if that suits better as it did for us). On the Swiss Bank Holiday all guests were invited to a an early evening reception if free drinnks and snacks.

What a beautiful room! We were lucky enough to get upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite with a balcony. The suite was lovely with a very modern but classic decor. It was spotlessly clean. We also enjoyed the free steam room and sauna on the lower floor. Breakfast was generous and tasty. The hotel is about a 12 minute walk (moderately uphill) from the train station although they did offer to pick us up if we liked). I would definitely stay here again.
