Beautiful landscape, estate and set up - BUT the management and service is under average and quite ignorant. The food is nothing else than standard as well. Don't get me wrong - in general the hotel is nice, with beautiful pools, facilities, layout etc. nevertheless, a hotel lives from its vibes and I must say, there are no vibes to bad vibes. The management and the staff is just not in control of what you may think they should manage. I recognised the negative comments here about service. The comments are 100% correct. Be careful with the bills - you need to double check everything. On the last night they charged us complete different prices for meals we already had before - they take the highest Cuperto in the region and additionally charge for their bread… even our 3 years old kid had to pay for Cuperto and bread. By the way - we never asked for the bread - still they charge it. in general, the prices at this location are ridiculously high. Just an example - the breakfast: The breakfast is just a standard breakfast, consisting of lots of sweets (plain crossaint, chocolate corssaint, xyz crossaint…) and cakes (most of them of the same taste, just with different fruits mixed into it), 2 types of cheese, 1 salami, 2 hams, toast, muesli… just exactly what you prepare yourself at home during a busy weekday. They have a menu on the side offering the typical omelette and pancakes. Standard, BUT: they are charging 10 EUR for a pancake 12 for an omelette… You may call it a surprise that you don’t have to pay when the staff is smiling at you. But hey - doesn’t happen too often anyways. Maybe it is a cost savings approach designed for clients. Kudos to the management. You literally have to ask for everything - making up the room, towels, toilet paper. Quite annoying. I am curious what the team will put as an answer here. Having scrolled through the comments, you may recognise that the tone and the style is not too professional anyways. Just as an example, there is one comment on the additional prices for standard dishes for breakfast and the prices of pasta at the bistro. The management made the effort of giving examples what a standard mc Donald’s menu costs here. And that is exactly how to summarize it best: the service is nothing more than standard. You will be left behind asking yourself what has happened to the Italian warmth and friendliness. Sad that a premium location is managed down to standard. By the way, there is nothing to do and see in the area itself. The small districts nearby are pretty industrial. We found one restaurant called vesuviana which has decent pizza. Unfortunately, for the classic Italian vibed vacation, you need to go somewhere else. And you meet the staff of the hotel for lunch at La Casetta, which was also decent. Ignore the Osteria of the hotel - it was not good. To end this positively: there is one lady who can speak English properly and is giving her best. Without her - we would be quite lost in translat
