My daughter and I try to plan a trip to Martha's Vineyard every year. This year we decided to stay a day on the Cape to add to our East Coast experience. Never having stayed on the Cape before, I just stumbled upon the White Porch Inn through my on-line research. The reviews looked good and the pictures looked great. I booked the carriage house for one night (with a parking spot). Due to significant flight delays, we did not get to Provincetown until nearly 10pm. I was in text contact with Greg who assured me that my check in would be smooth and parking spot secure. He explained how to check in after hours and was extremely responsive to my text messages. When we arrived, ten hours past our scheduled arrival, Greg actually greeted us (we were not expecting anyone to actually check us in) and helped us park the car. I had never met Greg before, only communicated with him through text and email. However, when we met, I felt like we were friends. He must have seen the stress of an awful travel day on my face because he offered me a hug. :) Greg helped us get to our room which was impeccably clean and extremely comfortable. The next morning we enjoyed coffee and breakfast on the porch and unfortunately had to leave shortly thereafter. Even though we were at the White Porch in for about 12 hours, I felt extremely welcome and very comfortable. I cannot say enough about how friendly the staff is. Very responsive. My only regret is that we were not able to stay longer. Rebecca and M.
