Apartamentos Bitácora Club Lanzarote

Stayed at Bitacora in August 2024 with my wife and daughter. First of all I must say the Bitacora is NOT on cardiac hill ! Yes it's located up the hill but incline isn't that bad when you get used to it and we found 3 or 4 different ways back to hotel. We had emailed ahead requesting an upper floor room as with us being 2 able bodied adults and a 15yr old we have no bother up and down stairs, but on arrival we were informed this wasn't possible , ok no problem. The room we were given was downstairs, clean and large enough for us but no privacy as veranda wide open to guests, no sun on veranda and a view of the pool , in fact rooms 104 to 120 have no sun at all and over the course of our stay we noticed ALL the 1st floor rooms were occupied by either young families who had to try and carry pushchairs,inflatables etc or elderly who struggled with the stairs. Now onto the sunbed wars , yes wars ! You have to queue from 8.30am for the pool to open anytime from 9am to 9.45am depending on the mood of the pool cleaner. My wife queued one morning and had to run and use the towels as Frisbees to get 3 sunbeds ! She said she never felt so embarrassed in her life , needless to say we only used pool twice in 10 days and went to beach instead. As usual sunbeds had towels on them all day and weren't used definitely needs policing. We brought this up with the gentleman on reception who informed us "it happens everywhere " no sir it doesn't. Been to PDC twice before and many other resorts on Europe over 20 years and never been as bad as here . May return to Bitacora at a quieter time of tear but definitely not in July/August there simply isn't enough sunbeds , we counted around 90 beds to over 100 rooms .

Brilliant hotel- so accommodating. The man who checked us in… Javier?! Was brilliant- thank you so much for a warm welcome! Perfect start to our holiday. If you’re looking for an easy going relaxed vibe, this is your hotel! Close enough to the main centre and bars but far enough away you’re not always in it. Gym is an added bonus!

Stayed here at Christmas,, same opinion as I have now staying in June!! The apartments themselves are in need of modernisation....there is a non smoking policy in and outside the rooms, although we found cigarette butt burns on the sofa and pillowcases and stains at the bottom of the curtains (see photos attached)...the walls are paper thin so you will hear your neighbours going to the toilet and flushing it , you will hear them talking , pacing up and down the floors in high heel shoes and dragging their furniture around the floors from 6am and then from around 1am when they are back from a nights drinking.... SO we arrived on a Sunday and for the first 4 nights we didn't sleep...the room above us had clientele from an Irish travellers group....they were fighting all night, throwing furniture, screaming and making so much noise...we made 5 complaints and on night 4 they were evicted...we got an apology from the manager but were not offered any compensation, not even a free drink or food in the restaurant.....this was very disappointing considering we were only here for a week ...the pool area is very clean but no lifeguard and a dash for sunbeds from 9am....the pool at this time of the year was freezing so we didn't even get a swim....Overall we would not recommend this nightmare place

Wasn’t sure what to expect with this hotel but wow, the moment we walked through the reception door we were welcomed and given our room key. We are in one of the “ upgraded “ rooms and they are fantastic. It’s like an apartment with a living room and mini kitchen, the room is extremely clean and spacious. Balcony is great facing the pool and lots of space outside too. The pool area and grounds of this hotel are great, very clean and well maintained, you can tell they look after this place. I’ll certainly be booking this hotel any time I visit Lanzarote again, it’s great value for money. Only a 10 min walk down hill to the main strip, there is a supermarket in the hotel which is so handy to get stuff.

Stayed here last month for a week, arrived after 7pm and was given the keys to our room. Upon arrival to our room we were given a room on the bottom floor next to the gate and path for the shop. I went back to reception and asked if we could be changed rooms if at all possible, the staff member on reception advised he was unable to move us that night but to come back the next morning. We did go back the following day and were changed to an apartment on the top floor, lovely big balcony and always got the sun. We stayed in a standard one bedroom apartment, this was very spacious modern and clean. Hotel is up a hill but there is a few shortcuts on the way to the strip so you will miss out the cardiac hill. Taxis are only €4-6 most depending on whereabouts you were on the strip. Shopping centre and Lidl are approx 10 min walk from here. Food and drink is reasonably priced at the hotel and both are just as good. Pool area is nice and there were always sun loungers free throughout the day. We would definitely stay here again!

What an absolute gem. Absolutely spotless resort, rooms perfectly adequate . Visa my maintenance daily. Really enjoyed it so did the kids. Only one down side, the pool was colder than the arctic. Didn’t put many off as there were plenty of people in the pool.
