D'Coconut Lagoon

度假村環境清幽，特別適合放鬆散心，設施有些陳舊，不過不影響整體的入住體驗。老闆還免費為我們提供了來回夏日海灣度假村的船，點贊！

Just came back from LanG Tengah for 3D2N. We were group of 3 staying at D'coconut Lagoon (west wing). The Island - there are only 4 hotels at the island and not all at the same beach. When you reached the island you will be seeing crystal clear water. D'coconut is situated at the other side of the island and you can walk (through the jungle - 5 mins walking) to visit the other resorts / beach. If you want to see baby sharks at night, head to Sari Pacifica's jetty ;) The hospitality - Mr Anuar greeted us upon arriving at the hotel lobby and the staff will helped you with your bags and luggage. The check in process was okay and Mr Anuar will give a short briefing on rules of the hotel and itinerary. The staffs there were very friendly and helpful. The room - we stayed in Cabana rooms. You can see the beach directly from your balcony. We purposely choose this room just for the view. Unfortunately, D'coconut should really pay attention to cleanliness of their resort. Our room was not entirely 'okay' with the price we paid. The bed was so sandy even under the duvet :/ The toilet did not cleaned properly. I think they do not have dedicated housekeepers to take care of the rooms. So we only used the room to sleep at night. The rest of the time, we spent our time outside. The food - they served buffet for all meal with limited choice. However, the food were incredibly delicious! Kudos to the chef and team. Your dining area will be facing the beach, something that you will be misisng once you are back. The beach - since the west wing of the resort only has limited number of rooms, you will hardly see people at the beach. As if you are at the private island. And the beach was so breezy and you will not be sweating because of the breeziness unlike like the other side of the island. You can also kayak if you want. The experience- on our first night, we were lucky we get to see the turtle laying 136 eggs. Tell Mr Anuar to inform you if there is a turtle coming to the island! At lang tengah it is a perfect place for stargazing and seeing blue tears along the beach. Ask the staff to show you around :) You wil get complimentary of 2 snorkeling trips together with the package you signed up. They will also bring you to see the baby sharks near the beach at the summer bay resort. Overall, we had the best time in Lang Tengah. Although it is a small island but you will get a handful of experience throughout your stay. If you are looking for a peaceful and serenity, you should definitely come here. From Redang, Pulau Perhentian this is by far the best island I have experienced.

The view was great, but not the resort. First of all, the swimming pool was a BIG disappointment, it’s not same as picture- it looks dirty and doesn’t look like swimming pool. Second, the room executive standard with very little water come out from shower and we literally shower outside (the shower where people wash themselves after snokerling or swimming)! The room was not properly prepared for us to get in- missing mineral water, coffee.. The staff was helpful but unfortunately the cleanliness of the room WAS SUPER BAD! Me and my friend ended up got bitten by bed bugs seriously and it was so itchy. I will never go there again.

The good 1) The resort is very quiet with secluded lagoons 2) Staffs are very friendly and attentive to requests The bad 1) Room cleanliness can be improved 2) There are no facilities at the resort 3) Resort surrounding has run down and needs renovation 4) Possibility of no buffet meals during low season with low occupancy

Sur les conseils du Lonely Planet, nous avons passé 3 nuits au D’Coconut. Après la cohue des Perenthians, nous nous réjouissions d’arriver sur cette île intimiste et dans ce resort qui nous paraissait paradisiaque, sur les photos tout du moins. Quelle ne fut pas notre déception à notre arrivée: déposés en bateau, nous arrivons au niveau de la salle de restaurant qui fait aussi office d’accueil. Son style est vieillot et sa froideur n’a d’égale que celle du personnel qui nous accueille. Pris d’une envie pressante après la traversée en bateau, nous découvrons les toilettes communes dans un état abominables, et malheureusement les découvertes qui s’en suivent n’améliorent pas les choses : - piscine sale, pas du tout entretenue - chambre modeste - salle de bain à la limite de l’insalubrité (dégâts des eaux, problèmes d’humidité, mousse et champignons, odeurs pestilentielles) - draps jaunes - traces sur les murs - un seul rouleau de papier toilette pour 3 jours et 2 personnes - mini frigidaire rouillé et bruyant - nourriture du buffet dégoûtante et suspecte (nous avons tous les deux été malades) - nourriture à la carte déjà un peu mieux, mais les serveurs sont incapables d’expliquer le contenu des plats … ce qui n’est pas pour nous rassurer Enfin, l’état général du resort est dans un état lamentable : l’ail ouest où se trouve toujours le club de plongée a carrément été abandonnée … Sur la route qui relie les deux ailes (et qu’on est obligés d’emprunter pour aller au club de plongée) on trouve des monticules d’ordures pestilentielles …. Et dire que des tortues pondent dans les environs … quelle tristesse ! Pour ce qui est du club de plongée, il n’est sauvé que par le divemaster fort sympathique !! Merci à lui !! En revanche l’état du club en lui même et du matériel n’inspirent franchement pas confiance. Pour conclure, cela ne serait finalement pas si grave si les tarifs pratiqués étaient en-dessous du marché ; c’est finalement l’inverse… Notre conseil : passez votre chemin

Er zijn veel goede dingen te schrijven over deze plek maar ook een aantal minder goede. De locatie is echt fantastisch. Wat een rust, wat een stilte. En de mensen zijn gewoon aardig. Ze zijn wat verlegen lijkt het wel. Maar glimlach en je krijgt een super brede terug. De kamers in de westwing zijn ruim, wij hadden een executive deluxe kamer, en hebben allemaal balkon met zeezicht. Er is een klein koelkastje, 2 ruime 2 persoonsbedden. Aparte badkamer met toilet. Als je wilt, kan je iedere dag schone handdoeken krijgen, gewoon even vragen. Dat geldt ook voor de schoonmaak, want dat is niet standaard. Deze handdoeken kan je ook voor zwembad en strand gebruiken. Je kan er duiken, snorkelen, kajakken, over de rotsen klauteren bij eb. Je moet jezelf vermaken, voor ons allemaal prima. Helaas heeft de periode 2020-2022 weinig goed gedaan. Er is aardig wat achterstallig onderhoud. Je ziet nog veel foto's van hoe het was en ook van de eastwing (met het langwerpige zwembad), maar die kant is tijdelijk gesloten en biedt jammergenoeg een troosteloos gezicht. Het eten is prima. Simpel, niet heel veel variatie maar wel smakelijk. Wil je wat anders dan is er x00 meter verderop het Dewati restaurant. Voor wat betreft alcohol, ze hebben bier (Carlsberg 12 RM). Oja, water, koffie en thee is gratis. Staat klaar in het restaurant. Je kan ook zelf wat meenemen in zakjes en dan de snelkookketel gebruiken. Er is in het Summer Bay resort verderop (via pad door bos makkelijk te bereiken) een piepklein winkeltje. Daar kan je ook bier kopen: Carlsberg (12 RM), Tiger (13 RM), Heineken (14 RM). Er is daar ook een duikcenter maar dat is alleen voor gasten van dat resort. Hoofdzakelijk Chinezen. Het duikcenter bij D'Coconut is prima. Als je tenminste geen luxe wilt en genoegen neemt met wat minder goed materiaal qua vinnen, brillen enzo. De duikgidsen zijn wel super goed, zo ook de dive sites. Je moet wel even over een pad door het bos naar de eastwing wandelen voor dat je er bent. Dus conclusie, het is kamperen in een hotel, nul luxe en erg rustig. Als je dat niet erg vindt, is dit echt the place to be.
