Now, this is a palace! The conversion from a palace to a hotel took a long time, there was lots of rubble. But it was worth it, such a magical place, so many beautiful space to explore. A stategic setting on the hill top above the village of Delwara. walking in the gates you know you are in a very special place. The views are amazing across the village and the surrounding hills. Room 36 had to be THE best room in the palace. A large corner room with a private patio and fountain, spacious entry way, beautifl room with lots of windows and a small balcony, huge tub area, large counter space and views everywhere. I could stay here a while. Very comfy bed. the only disadvantage was the 5 am call to prays, but we close the windows the next night. Pool area, bar and dining were excellent. I highly recommnd taking the place tour, it gives you the idea of how big the palace is, the restoration project, and all the nooks and crannies. The old art work is spectacular. Explore the colorful villge of Delwara, street markets, water pump, temples and smiling faces.
