High ceilings, good shower and comfortable king size bed. Quiet and beautiful view of the harbor and Maiori, the next town over located on the water with a nice beach. It’s a short 6 min walking distance into the old town that while small, has its own Michelin restaurant. Unlike other towns along the Amalfi coast, Ravello is at an elevation of over 1,000 feet, so the views are incredible. Typical European breakfast including omelets ordered from a menu and served to you by very friendly staff while you gaze at the beautiful view and the flowers all around you. Parking is included and on premises. The rooms are on different levels and there are no elevators. So be aware that you may have a few flights to climb depending on where you are located.

My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon and the biggest reason we chose it is the photo of the pool that is their lead photo on TripAdvisor. It was disappointing upon arrival to learn that the pool is NOT on the property, but on a neighboring property. Guests of Gala can use the pool for 20 Euro per person, per day. No thanks! Otherwise, this is a beautiful and delightful place to stay. Our room was modern and VERY clean. Luisa - who was at the desk when we arrived, was courteous and helpful. The breakfast was good and the deck to eat on, while very hot, was a beautiful view. There's a little feral cat on the property, Lucy, who brings a lot of joy to the guests. To note - if you're staying in Ravello because you want to visit the Amalfi Coast but you're on a budget, be aware that it is NOT easy to get up and down the mountain unless you want to spend 40 Euro on a taxi. The going rate is 20 Euro per person. The public bus is a mini-bus, as full size buses cannot get up the narrow roads. It runs hourly but only has 22 seats and they do not allow standing in the aisle and depending on the driver, do not allow luggage. We learned this the hard way trying to get up to Ravello from Amalfi. The bus was full within seconds, and we had luggage so we had to spend 50 Euro in taxi fare to get to Ravello. However, once you're in Ravello it's a quaint town with great views and some excellent restaurants, shops and cultural destinations.

The property is located below old town with minimal car traffic and foot traffic. Our room has a great ocean view. Although the room is not large, the private terrace with a small table and 2 chairs extended our living area. The terrace has a retractable awning which we used every morning to keep out the sun and one afternoon to keep out the rain. It was a memorable afternoon where we sat on our covered terrace and watch the thunder storm rolling over the mountains. The bed is comfortable as well as the bathroom. The buffet breakfast is adequate. The receptionists are helpful (reception closes in the evening). Keep in mind there are many steps to get into town for your meals. We prefer taking the road as it is a more gentle climb with a view of the ocean. There is one restaurant a few doors from the property with good pizza.

We spent 3 nights in Ravello and were very happy to have chosen this lovely hotel. The views are breathtaking and the property itself is spotlessly clean and well-maintained with fresh, bright decor. We received a warm welcome on arrival and were well looked after throughout our stay. Breakfast on the terrace was a highlight. Ravello is hilly and there are a lot of steps to negotiate in order to reach the main square, so a reasonable degree of fitness is required!

Wow. We had two rooms here for two nights and enjoyed our stay very much. We can’t say enough good things about this hotel. It is run by the sweetest, most accommodating sisters. It is SCRUPULOUSLY CLEAN - I am a clean freak and usually feel a little “icky” in any hotel - even the ritz. Not a bit of that here. A huge bonus, they offer included and convenient parking. The decor in the rooms is lovely; quintessential but not dated. Our three teens stayed in one room and they thoughtfully provided three of everything for them. Breakfast on the terrace is a simple affair but a very good selection of both savory and sweet items. You can get tickets from them for the adjacent pool. The view is phenomenal.

We can't fault the stay we had. From the moment we arrived the staff were excellent, replying quickly to texts for requests. The location is great although get ready for the steps into the main square of Ravello! Directly opposite the hotel the steps are located but there are at least 150! Ravello is beautiful but full of steps. If you prefer a taxi the girls are more than happy to organise this for you. The rooms were beautiful it felt like a 5 star hotel. The views from here are exceptional and the swimming pool was lovely. We would definitely recommend and re-book if we come back to this area. Thank you for making our stay so perfect.
