Hotel Mosaico

My friend and I had a paid reservation for a double room that we made last April. When we arrived at the hotel about 7 PM we were informed that all they had left was a small room with a single bed. When we got to the room we were shocked at how small the bed was and how small the room was. Plus the hurricane shutters were down and locked. It was very claustrophobic. We tried to make the best of it and after dinner she went down to the front desk to ask for another towel since there was only one in the room. They would NOT GIVE US ANOTHER TOWEL!! The desk clerk said the room was for only one person, but they assigned us that room! We finally made do with a bath towel and face towel. While she was arguing with the desk clerk a family arrived that had a paid reservation who had 6 people, including 2 small children. They were told there were no rooms left! The property is also old and dirty. The bed was a mattress on top of a piece of plywood on 4 boxes.

Our party of five had two rooms at the Mosaico prior to embarking on a cruise. It's hard to review this stay as there were two very distinct elements I'd rate very differently. Upon arrival, we were told our rooms were in the Residence Mosaico and we just had to 'turn right and walk a few minutes'. It was nearly half a mile on busy roads, at one point with no sidewalks, crossing at blind corners, all while lugging suitcases and trying to make sure our children were not run over. That part of the experience was HORRID. We didn't get good directions and had to pull out google maps to find the building, and there was no warning when we booked or any expectations set for this. That said, once we got to that building we were pleased. Each 'room' on the fourth floor was actually a full apartment with very high beamed ceilings, full kitchen, a washing machine in the bath, balcony and two bedrooms each. They were clean and quiet, with good AC, and we enjoyed the rooms...one we got there. It was a ten minute walk into Ravenna and once we knew how to find the building, we were ok (though hauling the suitcases back to the lobby to check out the next day was again rough). While I might stay there again, I would be sure to find out the location of my room before I paid off the taxi and unloaded everything half a mile away. The receptionist needs to give clearer directions (yes, it was 'turn right' but it was SO much farther than expected we kept thinking we'd missed it because surely it couldn't be that far. It's far enough that a shuttle should be offered when you have bags, at check in and check out.

We stayed here for 1 night pre-cruise. The reviews sounded so promising and the hotel was located very closed to Ravenna train station where our shuttle pick-up was to the cruise port. So I happily booked it. I cannot begin to explain how difficult this overnight stay was.... The good thing was we could check-in after 9pm. The man who checked us in spoke very little English, but was nice enough....until he told us we were not staying at this building. He gave us a printed map, and showed us it is about 1.5-2 km away. No shuttle to take us there or anything, so we literally dragged our suitcases and walked on a dark road in a foreign country. Finally got to this shady apartment-looking building. Elevator was inoperable. So once again, we had to drag our suitcases upstairs. It felt so unsafe that my husband stayed up from 1am to the morning. The place was so old and dusty, the "toiletry" they had was liquid soap on the wall that you normally see in the public washrooms. There was a kitchen, and the sign says it you don't clean up after yourself, they would charge you 50 euros. Isn't this a hotel,,,,? Not that I was going to cook after 10pm anyway. Everyone was hungry but nothing nearby so we went to bed hungry. The next morning, it was pouring outside. Once again, we had to drag our suitcases in the rain, to get to the "main building". There was nice breakfast, at least. But I could not enjoy because this nice front desk girl, who was trying to be helpful, gave us a complete wrong information about the cruise shuttle. I had to use my cellular phone to reach Royal Caribbean to talk with them which went nowhere. At the end, I went with my gut against what this girl confidently told me, and went the other way to look for the shuttle. And we were just relieved to see the cruise signage. I booked this hotel through **********. I complained after getting home. They claimed that it was clearly stated in their website. I asked them to show me, well, they couldn't because it wasn't. Of course, no refund was given. If you are looking at this hotel, please, please just be careful and perhaps find another hotel. You may have to pay a little more, but I wished someone could have warned me about this hotel. I spent so much time researching beforehand and I did not see what I experienced. Never ever return to this hotel, ever again.

Posizione strategica (pochi mt dalla stazione -5’ dal centro. Staff gentile e disponibile. Colazione ottima. Ambienti puliti e confortevoli

Location perfetta per il mio modo di pensare la mobilità: posizione semicentrale, possibilità di raggiungere il centro a piedi in pochi minuti, parcheggio gratuito. Camera ben pulita, comoda, reception efficacissimo hanno ovviato ad una nostra piccola dimenticanza efficacemente.

Approfittando di un'offerta io e il mio compagno abbiamo soggiornato solo una notte come appoggio per un weekend al mare, ma l'esperienza è stata davvero positiva: personale gentilissimo, pulizia dei locali impeccabile, stanza ampia e dotata di tutti i comfort, letto matrimoniale comodissimo, bagno in camera piccolo ma funzionale con tutto il necessario (anche il phon!), e al risveglio un'abbondante colazione a buffet variegata e con prodotti di ottima qualità! Non potevamo desiderare di meglio, rapporto qualità/prezzo eccellente!

Ho effettuato soggiorno per affari. Comodo, pulito. Personale gentilissimo. Lo consiglio vivamente.un grazie particolare al personale della reception. Comodo da raggiungere, personale gentilissimo, ottima colazione, ottime camere

Ein recht schönes Hotel mit genügend Parkplätzen. Zu Fuß ist man in etwa 20 Minuten in der Innenstadt. Sehr freundliche Rezeption. Bequeme Betten, schallisolierende Fenster. Im Frühstücksraum kann es zu Wartezeiten kommen, bevor ein Tisch frei wird.
