Hyatt Place South Reno

The hotel is close to Mt Rose ski resort and within 20 mins drive, and it is the main reason I chose this hotel. It is brand new hotel thus the facility looks great. The front desk staffs were very welcome and helpful, they tried to help and resolve the room issues and my requests. The enclosed outdoor heated pool is clean and warm. Breakfast has standard variety of food that chain hotel would offer, nothing surprise or standout. However, the house keeping services need to be improved. During my 4 night stays, my room got clean only once, and it was under my multiple requests. The house keepers were around the floor but they skip my room. If the hotel don't offer daily clean up they should inform guests.

Very appreciative of the kindness of the staff and extending an affordable rate to individuals affected by the power outages. Our area has been affected by wild fires and power outages over the past month and the new Hyatt has been right there offering their services to all affected. Kudo's!

Very clean hotel....great location. The breakfast was simple but yet nice. The hotel is located next to shopping and restaurants. Also within minutes of Reno and close to highway and about 45mn away from Lake tahoe.....will be back next time in Reno!

Great location in south Reno at the summit Sierra mall. Right next to movie theater and restaurants. Walking distance to a Starbucks across the mall parking lot. Brand new hotel. Great experience overall with modern layout, nice entrance, bar area, outdoor fire pits, open air pool and hot tub, and larger gym. There are 6 EV chargers in parking lot ( J plug .35/kw). The hotel parking is limited but there is a huge amount of parking just down hill slightly in the summit ( outdoor ) mall. Since everything is new, we did have a few oddities in the room. We reported and should be fixed for next guest. Typical Hyatt place breakfast. Not bad but not great. Wish there were more fresh options like bananas and more toppings for oatmeal. There are eggs, premade waffles, etc, but I have stayed at other Hyatt Places with more selection. Staff was super friendly. Love having this new location in south Reno. We’ll be back ! Nite that 2nd floor rooms on south side overlook hwy 431. Recommend higher floor or north facing.

This hotel is new and I’m sure they are working out the kinks. Overall it’s one of the best I’ve stayed at. The room was spacious and they really thought about the functionality. The hotel is beautifully decorated with nice outdoor social areas, fire pits and beautiful views. It’s also in a nice area for shopping and dining. There needs to be signage in the main hallway for directions to the pool. Once we found it, we were disappointed to see it closes at 6pm. It was also extremely hot around the elevators, on the elevator and in the gym. Their gym is great, but they need a fan in there! I was extremely disappointed with the breakfast. The coffee was bad, the french toast was soggy, the cut fruit was old, the eggs were cold and rubbery. The milk and juices weren’t cold. There wasn’t any whole fruit or muffins. I had to make a trip to Starbucks and was happy to find out it was within walking distance.

Great new property in a nice location. We happened upon this property and are so glad that we did. Everything is clean and looks great. The room is spacious. I love that there is no carpet in the room. Breakfast was fresh and hot. Lastly, the area that the property is located has great shops and food in walking distance and there is easy access the highway.
