Do NOT book at this hotel. Run as fast as you can in the other direction! This is NOT a 5-star hotel. It is probably a 3-star. There are better hotels very close by. Here are the issues: 1) this is not beachfront, there is a public pool between the hotel and the sea 2) they will only give you one room key, ask for another, you will need it 3) they overbooked our PREPAID stay and forced us to stay at another local "sister" hotel. We traveled from the US with our two sons and had been traveling for 24 hours by the time we made it to the hotel, just to be told, sorry, we don't have rooms for you. In hindsight, we should have stayed there for the rest of the time as it was at least filled with nice staff. 4) they only give you two towels in the room, good luck getting any more, the staff who can get you towels is not there when you ask 5) Pool/beach towels are nearly impossible to get, again, if you cannot figure out when the staff is there you can't get towels or exchange towels. This is true even when the pool is open. We asked for new towels at 7 PM, the pool is open until 8 and we were told NO, they can't do that as the spa was closed. 6) the breakfast is disappointing. It was the worst food I've had in all of Crete. Stale bread, rotting fruit, no juice, and good luck finding staff to make you a coffee. This is only a cheap buffet, with no menu items, it came off as very cheap. 7) the parking is HORRIBLE, so if you have a car be warned that you are likely going to have trouble 8) TripAdvisor's description says "brand new 5 star on the beach" - it opened in 2019 and the wear and tear shows that nothing has been put into the hotel since then. The last 5 years show how little they have invested back into their hotel. Nothing has been kept up, and it shows. So the description is misleading at best (not new, not on the beach) and an outright lie at worst. 9) Be careful at night in the poorly lit lobby. There are floor-to-ceiling glass walls and they do not have anything on them. Most hotels have decals on glass walls to ensure you don't walk into them. My husband walked into one and was injured. They cared little. That was our last night and I was VERY upset at their response. I'm certain I got loud as it was terrifying. Especially since the receptionist could not find ice and the bartender, who I had complained about to the front desk would not give me any ice. There were a few nice things, the pool and rooftop are beautiful, and the chairs and loungers are quite comfortable. The view of the sea and mountains is very pretty, just don't look down as the parking lot and vacant land next to the hotel is not pretty. I cannot fault the hotel for that as it is likely not their land. The rooftop bar mixed a nice drink and the front desk staff was nice, up until I complained, then they were cold and rude. The food was good, the only complaint is that they were out of various items and substituted others without giving you an optio
