We loved our time at the rockley. Definitely feels like it's had care taken with updating it. All the staff were so friendly. We liked that everyone made a point to say hello when they saw us. Our favourite people were Tajuana at reception, she always had a smile and helpful information for us, Dedreia was so kind as well. LaToya at breakfast time was so friendly and happy and Lydia was an absolute delight every time we met her! The rooms were spacious, clean, well equipped (although if you have long think hair like me, the hairdryer takes a while to dry hair) cleaning was done daily, fresh towels when needed, new bedding every 3 days. We had an issue with our Aircon but this got sorted quickly and without fuss. The bathroom was huge with a gorgeous big shower inside. Outside the pool was lovely and always had space to lay by it when we wanted. It was sectioned off by raised floor so that it was like 3 small connected pools. Always kept clean and I liked that we walked over a bridge to get to the building. There were lots of hummingbirds that visited flowers at the side which I loved watching. Yes there is a road at the front of the hotel. Yes it gets busy at times. Yes the drivers beep their horns a lot. However, it didn't bother us, when the door to the balcony was shut it quietened it down a lot, it wasn't noisy all day every day and it was fun to sit on the balcony and people watch. We didn't let it ruin our time there at all. Even when by the pool, it didn't bother us. The breakfast was better than anticipated in some ways. There was got food available every morning which was changed up some days. You can ask for eggs done a different way if you wanted and they can poach eggs to perfection every time! The cold selection was more just cereal and some prepared fruits or yoghurt but we were always happy with a cooked breakfast. No sausages and the bacon is streaky bacon. We never left hungry. The coffee was really nice too, not cheap instant stuff. Location was perfect for us, we're big foodies and had so much choice in walking distance. Our favourite nice place was Tapas just along the boardwalk, and the ice-cream place in chefette over the road. The beach did have seaweed for most of our time so we went to Carlisle bay a lot but still got to enjoy the free beach towels and sun loungers at the beach. Definitely would return if we went to Barbados again, it was everything we wanted.
