TLDR: It's garbage, and the owner allows his mates to party in the carpark. I stayed at the Ramada Sacramento for 5 nights from the 9-14 of October 2024. This is by far the worst hotel experience I have had in my life. The hotel is dated and well overdue for some upgrades, especially the bathrooms. But the major concern is security. I have never felt so unsafe at a hotel. When we turned up on a Thursday evening, many homeless people were sleeping in cars in the carpark and milling about the hotel, and as others had talked about, a security vehicle parked in the entry. We were very concerned about the hotel's safety from the start, as our ranch slider on the first floor didn't lock. There was a very large group who looked to be there for a wedding/celebration and were behaving very drunk and belligerently to staff and playing music loudly in the front area of the hotel. However, our biggest issue was on the final night - Sunday the 13th of October 2024. We returned to the hotel around 11:30pm tired and ready to sleep. There was a large group of men in the carpark just below our window drinking, smoking, yelling and playing very loud music via a car stereo. They had dragged all their room furniture outside, and it looked like they weren't moving soon. At midnight, we had had enough, so my partner went to reception to complain. They said they had had a few complaints and would speak to them. My partner went outside to ask them nicely to please be quiet and was met with extreme hostility and told he wasn't the owner, so he had no right to tell them what to do. He returned to the room, and we waited for security to move them on. At 12:40 am, the security car drove up to them briefly and then passed by, achieving nothing (I have this on video). The music got louder, and they became more belligerent. I went downstairs to find out what was happening and was told they were giving them time to stop before taking it further, as they were intimidating the security guy. At this point, it was almost 1am, and no one in the hotel could sleep. I told them I expected the police to be called if they could not control the situation themselves. There was another lady down there who had been told this was a regular occurrence at the hotel, which is very concerning; why do they let these guests return? At 1 am I went out on the balcony to ask them to please go inside as we couldn't sleep. One of the men approached and started hitting on me. I asked them again to please be quiet and go into their room so we could sleep. They continued to be loud and said they would go inside after they had finished their meal (which had just arrived) I replied that was unacceptable and they could eat inside as it was past 1am and the guests of the hotel had paid to sleep not listen to them all night. They got very hostile, threatening to have me arrested by "their brother the Sherriff" and have me kicked out "by their friend the owner" and calling me all kinds of insults and slurs. The
