Amazing hospitality with nice and beautiful garden, closed to beach

Lovely hotel, not far from the Gap. Just across the road from nice beach. We stayed one night before a cruise and one night when we got back. There’s a nice pool and a great bar which also serves very nice food. We asked them to put football on during both stays and they did this willingly. We had a room in the main block, on the ground floor on our first night. It was a great size, with fridge, kitchenette etc. The only problem was that we didn’t have any hot water in the morning. I did call reception but they seemed to think it was normal. The price is on the high side so I would expect hot water. On the second night we were in a room in a separate part of the hotel. It had the same facilities but was much smaller. I would definitely recommend for the friendliness of staff, the bar, pool and clean rooms.

We had a good stay here. This is not a resort property, but rather like a mom & pop property. Nevertheless: The PROS: - Staff was very friendly - There is a 24-hr manned desk - We booked with an INCLUDED BREAKFAST. It is cooked fresh, with a menu (see pic) and linen tablecloths - Although simple, the room was very CLEAN. We were impressed. - There is a safe in the room - Our room had a really good A/C…PLUS: refrigerator, micro, toaster, and coffee maker (no coffee included) - There is a store open 24 hrs just a short walk down the street, turn right as exiting the hotel - It was quiet - There is a swimming pool - There is no airport shuttle, but at the airport, the posted rate in Dec 2023 was $31 USD one way. Pretty good! - The hotel is half way between the airport and cruise dock - There is a ****** as you turn into the property. Bottled Water was only $1.25. When stores give you a price, it is in Barbados currency, which is double USD (so the water was $2.50, but came to only $1.25 in USD) The CONS: The hotel is dated, but with all the pros above, considering the price point, it was worth the stay.

This is the first time staying in the south prior to that we always stayed on the west coast, palm garden is in a great location away from the road and so you can’t hear the traffic like you can when on the west, there are also no cockerels waking you up either, and the beds the the comfiest I’ve stayed in so gets a 10 for sleep ! We had lots of interaction with staff and all positive the manager is lovely, Carmelita, cleaning staff and any issues were sorted out. Yes breakfast is slow but it’s lovely my son had waffles / pancakes/ scrambled egg etc and fresh juice. If you don’t want to wait the gap and rockley is a 5 -10 min walk and lots of buses to pick you up, we hired a car so out every day. The pool is great to chill in the morning and I saw it being maintained while I was here. You get what you pay for, I’ve travelled a lot around the world and this place allows you to travel on a budget, I was nervous due to the bad reviews but I need not have worried. There are so many places to eat and drink locally Worthing square is nice around the corner. The gardens are well kept and gardener does a good job. They carry out maintenance in the rooms I saw them painting and rooms are always clean on return after the day. For the money paid I would stay again 👍

Positives were a large room, comfortable bed, cleaners daily. Close to amenities… restaurants, supermarkets and beach. Negatives- dated, unfriendly staff, bar and restaurant only open till 4… later at the weekend.! Just didn’t find the hotel very friendly…. It was used a lot by one nighters, on the way to or from cruise ships. Wouldn’t recommend

Nothing like the advertised pictures, no staff working after 9pm, just a security guard who has more responsibility than time to attend to issues. Came back to find cleaners using our room for their lunch break. The manager was snotty. We had travelled with friends who stayed in a hotel nearby who for less money got a whole lot more.

I can’t even put into words how amazing our stay has been. I don’t normally leave reviews until we are home, but after spending a week here already and with 3 more days left I felt compelled to write this review already. We are a family of 4 with 2 young children and from the moment we arrived until I write this review everything has been exceptional. The bed is the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in!!! As I’m sure we can agree a good bed makes or breaks a holiday and I would happily take this bed home. The staff are some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. Natasha especially has really left a lasting impression with both my children and us. Nothing is too much trouble and she goes out of her way every day despite working extremely long hours to speak to us and make our day that little more special. The included breakfast is delicious and the chef has even used soya milk to make my son pancakes as he is allergic to dairy which has really made his holiday. The facilities, pool and location are spot on, and to be honest there isn’t anything at all that I would change. Thank you from us all for such an amazing stay and we can’t wait to come back very soon.

Spent 9 nights here on the top floor room 301, honeymoon suite. Plenty of room and facilities. Noise for the Devachan bar quite loud as this was a rooftop room. Although this hotel is not 5 star there is a pool and the staff are so helpful especially Corneal and Natasha who were very attentive to anything or help we required
