Villa Saint Maxime

Villa St. Maxime is my absolutely favorite place to stay in the world. This was not my first visit and it won't be my last! The location is great. It's just a few minutes walk to the village of St. Paul - with beautiful views of the walled village along the way and the Chagall mosaic on the wall of the local school. It's also a central location to all the wonderful towns along the coast - Antibes, Cannes, Nice, Monaco. The villa itself is a beautiful and beautifully designed modern building with a lovely terrace, large infinity pool and common areas. The views from the terrace and the rooms is exceptional - one way is the walled village of St. Paul and the other way looks down to the Mediterranean itself. I find the view mesmerizing and good for the soul. The rooms are large, clean, comfortable and well laid out - all the comforts of home. The beds are big and comfortable. There are many nice touches - lots of pillows, a luggage stand, small magnifying mirrors in the bathroom, good WiFi, TV. Breakfast is so much better than the continental breakfasts often found in Europe. I loved the omelets! I would highly recommend a stay the Villa St. Maxime!

This was our third visit to the Villa. Each time it gets better and better. The accommodations are amazing as the house is right outside of the village walls. An easy walk to get to town. Ann and her team make you feel so welcome. It’s bright and airy and light, and there’s lots of room to be social with the other guests. Each night the villa hosts a happy hour, which is another great way to meet the other guests. If you’re there in the summer or early fall, you can take advantage of the beautiful swimming pool as well. We loved every minute of our stay and can’t wait to go back.

I was fortunate to return to Villa St. Maxime a few weeks ago and found it to be the same beautiful, elegant small hotel that I have visited before. It is a gem of a place with splendid views of the hills and the sea in the distance. Sitting on the lovely terrace above the most inviting, huge swimming pool while enjoying breakfast, or having a complimentary glass of wine or cocktail in the evening with the owner Ann and other guests is one of the many wonderful features of the hotel. Each of the six rooms is different and there is a spacious common area on a couple of different levels with marble floors, large glass windows and doors leading to the terrace. It is hard, really, to leave this enchanting place but nearby is the lovely hill top village of St. Paul de Vence, many restaurants, and a couple of museums, all within walking distance. I will return as so many other guests do.

The place blew me away! I knew it was going to be great but it succeeded my expectations! We had a very nice en-suite with an amazing view of the village and the sea. Breakfast was really nice and the pool is amazing! Not to mention the lovely host! The walking distance to St. Paul de vence is only 7 minutes, which is also a huge plus. I can’t recommend this enough!

Our 2nd visit to Villa St Maxim, this time using the whole house for a big family birthday celebration. Very high quality of accommodation, particularly the incredible master suite! Massive swimming pool, great gardens and spectacular views. The 5 minute walk to St Paul is easy (even for the elderly in our group) which makes popping in and out very easy. Highly recommended 👍

We just spent 5 nights at Villa St Maxime. It was the perfect spot to recharge our batteries and to visit various hill towns in Provence. I had the most restful sleep of my life in this quiet B&B between jaunts to Vence , Grasse, and Villeneuve-Loubet. We made two day trips into Antibes to shop and sun at the beach. This was the perfect location to stay at during our visit! We really appreciated the quality breakfasts which are included as well as the evening aperitifs which were a bonus. The only constructive criticism to offer would be a wish to hurry the replacement of the coffee machine so as to ensure quality French coffee with breakfast. Otherwise, 10 stars out of 5!
