What an incredible find! My parents and I booked one night here, after being unsuccessful in finding a hotel in town that allowed only one night on the weekends; and I am so happy it worked out the way it did! This property was so cute and well maintained, with charming details everywhere you looked. The staff was very friendly and responsive, rooms were clean, pool area was lovely, the nature trail was perfect for a little morning exercise and the balconies were a wonderful spot to drink morning coffee and enjoy the beautiful hill country views. If we ever come to Wimberley again, this is where we'll stay again, hands down! Loved it! Other recommendations: eat lunch/dinner at The Leaning Pear and go to Wimberly Square and see all of the cute little shops, especially MonkeyBug!

Bygone is such a hidden gem of a hotel! It has been completely remodeled & re-designed & is so beautiful. Bed was extremely comfortable & we had the best 2 night stay & slept wonderfully. Grounds were kept very well and everything was extremely clean. Also, the pool area is so relaxing with the lounge chairs and cabanas. Absolutely love this place. Highly suggest you stay here!

Surprise getaway with my wife. Super easy to access - all the simplicity of a vacation rental with the amenities of a hotel. Modern and tastefully appointed rooms. Lovely pool area with cabanas. Honor bar in the reception lounge. Gorgeous views from several curated spaces, and from the window in our room. Can’t wait to come back!!!

We stayed here 5 days while visiting Wimberley. Maria and staff were AMAZING! The view from our room and the pool are something out of a movie. The bed was very comfortable and the hotel itself was just everything and more than what we expected. We will definitely be coming back.

We selected a room with balcony and were completely happy with the view of the valley that we had. There wasn’t a chest of drawers to put clothes from suitcases into but later found out that the rooms fronting pool had them. I can do with living out of suitcases for view of valley and not the pool. The pool was great and from the pool there were great views. Maria was very good at her job and the entire staff was very friendly. We were there for 4 nights and will definitely return and do recommend this property.

New name The Bygone. They have done a great job remodeling it. Sitting on balcony can be loud if someone sitting out next to you. Wish the lights jn the parking lot were not so bright to see the stars, but would be hard to see the cars at night if they didn’t. Wish there was a shelf or something in the shower to put toiletries. The beds were super comfy! And the views were awesome. Enjoyed the nature hike behind the property. The location alone is worth it. Will return!

Beautiful views and location, charming, peaceful, with a very friendly and helpful staff. We had a wonderful stay and totally enjoyed the renovated room and pool area. We liked relaxing by the pool.

Sad the price we paid 1500.00 for 2 rooms 2 nights. Glorified Motel 6. One room and bathroom. Beat up furniture. No coffee replaced on second day. Looks worse than 1977 rustic. So very disappointed. This was a gift for my sisters birthday. Wanted this to be like the pics in their website.

We loved our long weekend at the Mountain View Lodge. The rooms were exceptionally clean and the beds were quite comfortable. The towels and linens were immaculate. Our room had a great view and we enjoyed the nature path. Their website is really helpful and gave great recommendations for dining and activities. We will be back!
