I made my decision to stay at this hotel having read to constant array of positive reviews, and upon arrival at the complex, I felt the look of the hotel from the outside matched up to this. You are taken away from the rather mediocre feel of the surrounding area into a complex with a tennis court, water features, fancy gardens and footpaths. It truly looks beautiful when you arrive. I was given my room key and upon entering my room, that's where my major problem began and lasted for the entire stay. I was based in room 205 on the first floor. It looked OK, possibly a bit dated, but nonetheless it was clean and I was fine with that. Unfortunately it was my bathroom that presented a huge issue. The toilet was leaking. I am no plumbing expert but basically the stopcock was not working and essentially the toilet was just leaking away water constantly. This meant that every so often, the toilet water tank would kick into life and start refilling itself, as if it had been flushed. It kept doing this frequently and it was infuriating. The walls felt like cardboard, and it was extremely loud every time the toilet 'flushed' itself and refilled its tank. It was on the verge of causing anxiety of when it was going to refill again and wake me up during the night. I was lucky to get 5/6 hours sleep, on one night at 4.50am I was awoke by it refilling, and never returned to sleep that morning. Oh, and if this wasn't bad enough, the bathroom of your next door neighbour sits right behind your own bathroom wall, meaning you can hear every time your neighbour flushes their toilet or uses the shower. So I not only had to put up with my own bathroom predicament, but also ended up constantly hearing my neighbours bathroom use through the wall. The second day I went to use the shower before breakfast, only to discover the tropical shower did not work, and leaked most of the water to the back wall. I could not stand this anymore and asked to be moved, only to be told that due to two coach parties, every room in the hotel was occupied. Whilst the maintenance person replaced the shower head, he had no fix for the toilet. So essentially, I had to put up with this for the entire stay, as I could not move to another room despite asking. I was stuck with 205. One day when I returned from a day out in Pisa, I noticed the housekeeping team had no replaced the empty shower gel bottle in the bathroom. I went to reception to ask for a new bottle, to be told they only had shampoo left. So, unless you want to 1 and a quarter mile walk to retrieve your own shower gel (at this point I'd already come back from town) I was using shampoo to sutstitute body shower gel. Not great. This is a massive shame, because this room ruined my stay, given how delicious the food was at the restaurant. This was the highlight at this hotel, you are given a pre-reserved table so no queing, and it is a start and dessert buffet, with a table service with a menu (Italian, German or English) to whic
