Big4 Sandstone Point Holiday Resort Bribie Island

We were at Sandstone Point earlier this week on our second visit. When we came here three years ago we were very impressed with the standard and layout of the property in general. We were specifically interested in the layout and variety of the garden plantings and feature plants. We were keen to see how the gardens looked three years on. We were absolutely amazed at how the property had been developed and the gardens, three years on, were an absolute delight. We were very fortunate to meet and chat with Tach, the head gardener. What an artist she is! And what a warm and generous person too, willing to impart some of her “secrets” and more than happy to chat to us about the various plants that we loved and admired. We travel in a motor home, so we can’t comment about the accomodation options, although they all looked to us to be too class. But the camping facilities, the property in general and the many dining options were first class. The managers of this property have thought of everything. What a terrific place to bring a young family for the ultimate holiday. We look forward to coming back in 2026 to see what Tach has done with the gardens in this gem of a place which remains a highlight of our visits to QLD.

Amazing facility. Modern, comfortable and such variety for kids/adults. Beautiful setting that enabled us to access local community and beaches. Didn’t feel crowded or hectic. Loved that we could be as self contained as we wanted, but still able to access cafe/restaurant anywhere onsite. Villas were beautiful and so tranquil. Never stayed in a place like it, very special. Hours of opening convenient. Staff were welcoming, kind and so helpful, answering questions and working toward making our stay fun.

Heated pools are amazing as I find a lot of Queensland resorts don’t heat their pools and outside of summer - they aren’t warm to swim in. Water park - exceptional, 3 bedroom villa - amazing, bbq facilities - great, food - yum and simple.. arcade - fun, playground - awesome (but probably suited for 3+ year old).. was an outstanding stay though. Headed to Bribie Island every morning to a beach and then spent from lunch time at resort. Visited the butterfly house and also went crabbing on low tide just below our villa.. for a fishing mad 3 year old - he loved it. Caught crabs and puffer fish by hand. Great stay ! Don’t need to leave the resort as it’s awesome but if you like to adventure like us - plenty of things to do.

There was not a single thing to fault. Nothing short of incredible. Endless things for the kids to do. Everything was spotless, bathrooms constantly being cleaned throughout the day. there was nothing the staff couldn’t help you with and were so dedicated to helpfulness and the kindest staff in a facility I have ever come across. 5 stars doesn’t cut it. I have been all over the world and this was an Experience my family and I will cherish forever. Thank you for giving our family a great place to have a holiday where we made unforgettable memories.

We stayed in the overwater lagoon villa and it was amazing. It was so tranquil. There are multiple areas on the deck so you can choose if you want to be in the sun or shade. The plunge pool is not too cold and it was handy to have the paddle board. The room is beautifully decorated and serviced each day. The kitchen is well stocked with crockery and cutlery. We loved that we could also use the amenities in the main park and be amongst other people when we wanted to be. Will definitely come back.
