Protur Biomar Sensatori

Having stayed in several AI hotels in Mexico and the Caribbean, it’s always difficult to match the standards you get in those hotels in Europe, especially for similar cost, so I can be hard to please! But, given that I now have a 1 year old, I’m trying to find a similar holiday with a much shorter flight time. I’ve stayed in a few 5 star AI’s in Spain and Greece over the years and never been impressed, particularly with the cheap food and alcohol they try to push on guests in the AI package. For once, I have actually been quite pleased with the offering here at Sensatori Biomar and would return again. Most things I would rate as really good, there were some things that could be improved but they weren’t major things and overall the positives more than outweighed any negatives. Resort is very clean, modern and well kept. We stayed for a week and we had no sickness or diarrhea, which I had been worried about given the reviews I had read a few weeks before. Pools were all very clean and well kept however, the toilets at the pools are not well signposted at all. In fact we had to ask and only found where they were on day 3. When we did go in them they were empty. Considering the amount of people in the pools and the fact they are drinking several drinks from a swim up bar and not many seem to know where the toilets are due to lack of signage - you can guess where they are all relieving their bladders! I know chlorine kills it somewhat but still it’s just a bit nasty to be swimming in all that wee, especially in a 5 star resort. But generally the resort is very well kept. The rooms are clean, aircon works well and they have wooden floors instead of tiles which is good and more safe if you have a small baby. I don’t know if this applies to all rooms but we had twin beds pushed together rather than a double which was slightly annoying! The cupboards and drawers in the living room had push mechanisms to open them rather than handles which again is good for small babies to stop them opening them! The room had a kettle, fridge, hairdryer, iron. The iron wasn’t the best though and if I came again I would bring my own. The shower was powerful which was good and the room had a nice deep bath. The sinks would have been fine apart from I had to wash the baby’s bottles in them as there was nowhere else in the hotel to wash bottles. They would not hold water in them even when the plug was down therefore I had to keep the water running the whole time to replace the water that was being lost down the plughole whilst washing! This was a bit annoying as I’d have liked to leave them to soak for a while but couldn’t. The TV seemed to have many channels but they were not accessible and the only ones that were, were a few German ones. This wasn’t a major issue for us as we don’t go on holiday to watch TV, but could be for some. We had a swim up room in the family section. My husband and I stayed Protur Biomar as a package deal with TUI, we opted to book a taxi from the airport to the hotel & back again at the end of the holiday. We had read that the transfer bus can take up to 2 hours and didn't fancy it after an early flight. Taxi service was excellent (also booked through TUI) both drivers were kind, friendly and crucially on time. At Palma airport, the taxi transfer is out of the baggage doors, to the right and quite far along with the office on the right, it's not very easy to find. The hotel was absolutely beautiful, we stayed in the adults only section and although we arrived earlier than check in, our room was ready and we were able to check in. The room was always spotless and the daily refill of the mini bar was a great touch and very welcome after being in the sun for the day. The food was excellent, there was such a huge selection of fresh, nutritious and delicious food at every meal, rather than the standard mountains of beige. All the hotel staff were chatty, helpful and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. Would absolutely recommend this hotel to couples and families and would definitely return.

faultless experience !!! after having issues on previous TUI all inclusive resorts i had some doubts this would be any better, how wrong i was! this place is how all inclusive should be ! pay a bit more and get the sort of service and experience normally only found in the most expensive hotels. we found the staff in every department to be friendly and helpful and always with a big smile nothing was too much trouble, they obviously have had some good training. the hotels overall decor and bedrooms are all pristine and very clean the maids do a great job. the seating is comfortable everywhere and the sunbeds are pretty good. the pool area is great some shaded areas and good quality decking , pool was slightly cool as it was a little windy on a couple of days but still great to get in . the pool bar and swim up bar was great also. one of the best things about this resort is the drinks are nearly all premium well known brands unlike other places where you pay extra and very well served. wine was a local red and white again very good very drinkable spanish wine....occasionally too drinkable!!! the food offering is very very good lots of variety and themed nights always looked fresh even at the end of service at all mealtimes, we normally eat out in the evenings at an all inclusive , we didnt need to bother as the food here is that good especially the gala steak BBQ evening , where proper large steaks were served as you liked it , very good! A good tip is try the rooftop pool for a quiet suntrap with large double beds and views out to sea, no bar here but easy to get drinks. we will definitely stay here again highly recommended , well done Tui and Protur Biomar Sensatori Resort team ! thank you Andy & Sarah

Hotel was clean. Pools were a great retreat to cool off. Tui staff were friendly and engaging. Food was delicious with a great selection. I don’t think you need the a la carts. The nights we did use them we were wondering what we missed out on in the main kitchen. Theas coffee shop is a great touch. Entertainment was ok. Started a bit late but it was still an amazing holiday. We would definitely go back. My 6 year old loved it too

We stayed in a swim up room in the adult building and glad we did. The pool was nice and warm but the adult area pool was freezing! Food and drink was excellent and the staff were always helpful and happy. We stayed in room 151. The room itself is nice and clean and modern but I was a bit unsure at first as it was quite shaded on the terrace but it was nice and quiet and got the sun in the afternoon. Something to be aware of is the shower can be seen through from the bedroom. Overall a good stay and would go back again.

I enjoyed my stay here at Biomar Sensatori. The hotel is well located in Sa Coma with the beautiful Punta De Amer parkland right outside the hotel. I enjoyed visiting nearby towns up and down the coast. They are a lovely walk away following the promenade or walking through the Nature Reserve. Using the hotel bikes, I got to Porto Cristo and also took a pedal up to Cap Del Pinar. The beaches are wonderful along the coast here. My flight was late and I didn't get to the hotel until 9.30pm . My experience at check in wasn't the same as other reviews. No welcome drink, I felt rushed and was directed to my room which was in another building. Though I was told there would be staff there to help I had to try and find my room myself. I made two attempts and finally stopped a member of the cleaning staff to get help me. The receptionist that finally helped me was very apologetic. Dinner for those arriving after 9.30pm is in the family restaurant which offers a selection of cold cuts, salads and cheese. My room was a garden room with views over the pool . It was immaculate, comfortable and very well cleaned daily. My fridge was also filled daily. It would be good to have little bottles or cartons of fresh milk in the bars and restaurants to pop in the fridge for tea. Service and food quality in the restaurants and bars were great. The spa is lovely with some really nice massage pools. Some of the saunas, hammam and therma rooms weren't available when I visited, though. The spa receptionist is welcoming and friendly. Tui staff are available here all day to handle any queries. All are pleasant and approachable along with the team on reception. I was pleased that I visited at the start of the season when it is a little quieter both in the hotel and the resort.
