Excellent location and facilities, however this place is let down by the tired and dirty state of the accommodation. We stayed in two units at the location. Both were in need of proper cleaning and maintenance. I understand that places can be old and I am happy to stay in an old place as long as it is clean and in reasonablecondition. This was neither. Considering the price of this accommodation I honestly expected a lot better. Upon entering the accommodation I was instantly hit by a smell of dirty and old cooking oil. The kitchen had cooking oil splatter, food and general dirt, while the bathrooms were dirty and had visible mould throughout. The properties had ruined carpets, stained dirty bed linen, sliding doors that would not shut, blinds and curtains that need a wash or replacement, dirty drains, walls and missing cupboard doors. General damage to the apartments was pretty bad with broken doors and other issues like household rubbish left in buckets in the parking space under the apartment - to name a few problems. The only saving grace of this accommodation is the excellent location and on sites facilities like the pool and barbecue hut. I have stayed in caravan parks with 50 year old cabins that are cleaner and better appointed than this accommodation. Would not recommend.

Aqualuna Resort seems to be mostly a residential complex with some apartments for holiday accommodation. i stayed for one night on a business trip. The receptionist was very polite. However, it is important to note once you've seen the images and descriptions on the travel site listings: - the restaurant is permanently closed - the bar is permanently closed - they can't sell you food or drink for your room - not even milk I was told to go to the service station / petrol station / gas station next door, which has a mini supermarket. In my room I found a TV, DVD player, phone, wifi router, as you would expect. However, neither TV had reception for free TV or pay TV (eg Netflix etc). The lights on the router were flashing green. I dialled 9 for Reception, but no dial tone. So I walked up the hill to Reception, to be told: - the phones are disconnected - the wifi is disconnected - the TV should work - I could change rooms or they would have the Maintenance staff visit my room and check. I opted for this. I was then in my room for the complete afternoon but Maintenance didn't attend. There's very limited Uber Eats delivery options to the Aqualuna, and limited Uber in Coffs Harbour when I tried using it in the morning. I think its about a $25 taxi fare each way to Coffs Harbour from the Aqualuna if you need a meal (and the taxi drivers came very quickly, were nice and the cabs spotlessly clean) and $35 to the Airport. But, to top it all off, all through the night a sound like a pump or air compressor periodically started from somewhere close to my room - perhaps it was for water or sewearage for the adjoining apartments?? It woke me many times through the night. On the plus side, the sheets seemed brand new on my bed and the carpet seemed reasonably new. The rest of the two story apartment was dated but clean, except for a fair bit of mould in the spa/shower. i did have a very nice pizza delivered from a place further north on the coast, for dinner.

WORST PLACE EVER -We checked in at 830 pm on 27 September 2023 . - walked in the whole place smells - the air conditioning did not work - the remotes in the air con the batteries are not even been changed so you can barely use them. - the bathroom was filthy - only way to have a shower in the bathroom is wear thongs - we have 4 kids we rang up the manager in change and we get a ‘I don’t care attitude ‘ take your money and leave - it was 915 pm now - so we booked this place well in advance to come and check in and then find all this and then get told by the manager in charge that they can’t help we can leave - walked upstairs - the KICTHEN the dining dining has actually got food stains from the previous people that stayed here - - the dining table is all sticky - the KICTHEn area all the tiles have got food stuck on them - the kitchen floor is all dirty with food particles on the KICTHEN floor - found spiders in every room - found mould everywhere around the laundry area - the KICTHEN wall had bad white stains off food - the lounge downstairs had some sort of stains and marks all over - the KICTHEN area upstairs does not even have enough loving - Found cigarette buds on premises . Would highly advise everyone please do not book at this place , we were stuck at 930 pm with 4 kids trying to work out where we could Find a place . Ended up paying more as last minute pricing . So it was a horrible experience STAY AWAY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE

Booked via internet. $250 per night, one bedroom unit. Parking underneath and not lit well to room. Very dated and unappealing in unit. Arrived after reception shut and key was left in a series of safes. All key safe were broken and rusted and had been for some time. Arrived in room to find that one curtain rail had broken off the wall with a large hole in the gyprock gone unrepaired ( obvious old damage) Rail was badly fitted at an angle to support curtain, Curtains were just plain cheap. Furniture was very cheap and clearly done on a budget. Main bed was also very cheap, comfortable for the one night but no more. There was water leaking from the tiles to the bath. Once again it appeared the leak had been there for some time. No milk was supplied and no internet was available. Only good point was a great view to the sea. This place is incredibly overpriced. dated, lacks maintenance and will not be getting this person back. It would be lucky to rate 2.5 stars

This “Resort” needs to decide if it’s a resort or a residential complex. I’m serious need of TLC, apartment unclean, windows and tracks dirty, fridge unclean, spa didn’t work, balcony furniture tip worthy list goes on. Lots of what appear to be tenanted units with untidy balconies, window dressings in dire need of attention and tenants using visitor parking. Do not stay here !

Appalling. $300 for a dirty old room, broken spa and broken oven. We physically had to go through and tighten light bulbs and plug lamps in when we first entered the room. No sheets on the bed, simply 2 flat sheets on either side of a stained duvet. Mould on the curtains. No shampoo or conditioner. We specially booked this resort as we wanted to cook dinner on our last evening in Coffs and needed a fully equipped kitchen to do so. The oven would turn on for 10 minutes and then turn off for 10 minutes. Handy when you’re trying to cook pizzas for the family. We asked for a maintenance person to check the oven (as we were mid cooking). Instead they told us to return our key and collect a new key and check into a different room. My partner ran around the resort to find the new room, kids packed everything up, walked our half cooked pizzas to the new room - surprise surprise the oven was broken there too. Lugged everything back to our original room. Partner then had to return that key and collect our original key. All while we were trying to cook and enjoy a nice evening together. Why not send your staff to do this for us? The reception was closed when we checked out so we couldn’t talk to them about our concerns. Two emails later and a message on *********** and they’re simply ignoring us. We requested a 50% refund which we think would be totally fair but they won’t even reply to us. I doubt they will even read or care about this review. Disgusting. Do not stay here!
