Monte Cristo Hotel with Rooftop Pool

We had a pleasant stay overall, largely thanks to the exceptional receptionist who definitely deserves a raise. He was incredibly sweet, always helpful, and made our experience truly memorable. The location of the hotel is perfect—just a short walk to the beach and close to numerous bars, supermarkets, cafes, and bakeries. However, the proximity to the boulevard and promenade meant it was quite loud, especially during the festival, making it more suitable for party-goers than those seeking a quiet vacation. We used the pool a couple of times, and despite its age, it offered a beautiful view and a great spot to watch the sunset. The entire staff, including the owner and cleaners, were very friendly and accommodating. I asked to get a better pillow and they tried to get it for me immediately without any problem. We also took a boat trip, which we highly recommend. On the downside, a few issues affected our stay. The furniture, especially on the balcony and rooftop, was old and not very clean. The AC was not functioning properly, and the shower design caused water to flood the bathroom floor. Additionally, my pajamas were lost, possibly taken by the cleaner by mistake. Despite these drawbacks, we still enjoyed our stay and would rate it 4 out of 5 stars.

After coming back from a three day trip from Llogara I stayed there for one night (before continuing to Pogradec). I'm wondering about the recent reviews, maybe I was just lucky but I totally enjoyed my stay. The room was ok, it was clean. I booked that hotel because of the view and that was good from my balcony and amazing from the rooftop with the pool. Breakfast was good and individually prepared (from a menu I ticked what I wanted). Just 50 meters away (down) there is a scooter rental with well maintained scooters.

A parte la vista e gli 80 scalini che ti permettono di arrivare direttamente in centro, niente di più. Ho trovato una camera con il pavimento sporco di sostanza appiccicosa (rimosso dopo 3 gg). Ho dovuto chiedere (alle 22) uno straccio per pulire l’interno e il ripiano dell’armadio sporco di vecchia polvere nera. Lo spruzzino della doccia e la maniglia della porta non funzionanti. Mi è stato proposto un cambio camera il giorno dopo ma nn più disponibile. Rimanere in piscina sul tetto durante il giorno diventa difficile : troppo caldo e poco spazio ombreggiato ( 3 piccoli ombrelloni mal ridotti e un bar annunciato ma inesistente). 3-4 menù fissi sono proposti per la colazione ma qualsiasi modifica richiesta ti cambia il costo : ti viene conteggiato tutto singolarmente dunque il prezzo può raddoppiare o anche triplicare! Sconsigliato Per venirmi incontro mi è stato promesso un ristorno …. Mai pervenuto! SCONSIGLIATO!
