The Remote Hotel is a lovely small boutique hotel. All the staff are really charming and very helpful. The rooms are beautifully appointed and the hamam (Turkish bath) was great. We didn't use the sauna but others were using it. Everything was spotlessly clean and the beds super comfy. Breakfast was delicious (Turkish style). Drinks were reasonable. The hotel was full but never felt busy, always sun loungers available and fresh towels. There's some unfinished construction nearby which is a bit untidy but that is not the fault of the hotel. The pool may be tricky for non swimmers or of limited mobility as there is only a ladder step and no shallow end. Sarigerme 'town' is limited - mostly tack and fast food - a few gift shops were nice but mostly fake goods. The 2 beaches are great and very reasonable. Local taxis good. We recommend hiring a car and exploring, the scenery is lush and beautiful. Sarigerme is the best location to explore from, we particularly loved Kavucakcay, Gocek, Dalyan, The Blue Termed, Koyeciz and Gokbel. We definitely recommend The Remote Hotel if you enjoy peace.

Let us start by saying we would 100% return to this hotel and had a fantastic 10 days. However there are definitely a few small areas to improve. The staff are amazing and in all honesty without them this might be a very different review. We both come from a hospitality & hotel background so possibly notice things others might not ? The hotel is indeed remote which needs to be embraced or it’s not for you. The views are mostly gorgeous except for some discarded minor building materials on one side. The restaurant menu is lovely but a little limited if there for more than a few days and the restaurant closes we think a little early. Food service is slow but there are plenty of alternatives a short taxi ride away costing approx 150/200 TL. Chef tends to concentrate on one meal at a time and can not seem to multi task and even shut the kitchen one day at 8-30 after 8 covers as he was on his own, but saying that the food he did produce was very good The rooms are perfect with lovely balcony’s and views and beautifully decorated with a calming feel. Highly recommend the Thai massage And all of the staff deserve a special mention. We genuinely look forward to returning.

If you are looking for a get away from it all break/holiday this hotel is perfect. Slightly out the way from the town but set in a lovely quiet location. The hotel is beautiful and peaceful with lovely relaxing areas. The pool is lovely and the staff are so polite. Helpful and welcoming. The rooms are beautifully designed and cleaned everyday. A walk to the beach is about 1.5 miles. However a courtesy collection on the afternoon is very welcome. In all loved the place.

The hotel is wonderfully furnished and decorated beautifully. Lovely high ceilings and the bathroom facilities were top class. The hotel is located in a quiet setting, so if you’re looking at peace and quiet, we would recommend. The downside was the restaurant menu and the lack of variety, plus the breakfast was very unimaginative and after a week became quite monotonous. One evening we decided to stay and eat at the hotel and at 8.40pm we sat in the restaurant only to be told the restaurant was now closed even though the hotel advertises it is open until 9pm. Luckily the hotel is not far from the local town, which is possible to walk but at 39c we decided to get a taxi. It only costs around 150TL, so we opted to eat out nearly every night . We did eat at the hotel a couple of evenings but we also found it difficult to feel enthusiastic about anything on the menu. We did notice that hardly anyone ate in the restaurant in the evenings. As it’s a small hotel, we personally thought it would be better if it was an adult only hotel. A couple of families with children were staying at the same time and during the day on a couple of occasions the pool was monopolised. The staff are absolutely wonderful and they cannot be faulted. Well done to all the bar and restaurant staff, you really did make our holiday special. Would we go back? We most definitely would but the menu does need a complete makeover.

Don't expect luxury service or breakfast here. The interior is wonderful as is the pool area, but front and side of the hotel facing very dusty/noisy building site. The service at this hotel is amateur and certainly not 5* (wouldn't give it 1*). The breakfast is the same EVERY day (simply salad/cheese/eggs). No fruit, yogurt or other basics you'd expect from any hotel, let alone one claiming to be 5*. The owner/manager is very off putting. He walks around, just looking cross. We tried to say hi a couple of times and were met with just a grumpy glare. It's a tiny hotel so wierd to be there, whilst this man looms about making you feel quite unwelcome. Wonderful design, but sadly very let down by how it's being managed, which really affected what was supposed to be a luxury, relaxing break. We chose to go out for much of the time and felt really welcome everywhere we went. Turkish hospitality in local area is wonderful, but not matched by management at this hotel.

MIddle of a building site/scub land. Terrible management - the hotel interiors and pool area are stunning, but that's it. Staff are sweet but totally hopeless. The manager walks slowly around the tiny hotel, not lifting a finger, just staring (making you feel uncomfortable, like you shouldn't be there). Never saw a smile from him, let alone a greeting for his guests! (we got more smiles/greeting from fellow guests). Very odd to employ someone who clearly doesn't like people and clearly has no idea how to help his staff learn even basic hospitality training. (I asked for a coke and he watched, as I was given an unopened can (no glass or ice). Same thing happened the next day with another guest, so he clearly thinks this is the way to serve guests drinks. The hotel interiors are stunning, but it's set in isolated scrubland (with heavy building work on all sides but the one facing the 3 'pool view' rooms). Breakfast is salad (though some days the 'salad' leaf bit was a large bunch of dill/corriander or other random herbs rather than salad lead) . No juice ('extra'), no fruit ('extra'), no yogurt ('extra'), filter coffee served one tiny cup at a time (other coffee types 'extra'). No price list for 'extras' (and not clear what is and isn't chargeable) and no price list for bar, so you have no idea what you are going to be charged. Checkout; you are just expected to pay the total for 'extras', without being given any breakdown of what its for. I asked for a list of charges and they seemed to be totally confused that I'd like to know what I was being charged for (esp as it's so unclear what is and isn't charged for, and the absence of any price lists). It's like someone has piled ££££££ into building this place then left it to be run by a guy who's never worked a day in his life (let alone have any idea of working in hospitality). We paid way more than other Jet2 hotels (around £500 more for the week), trusting their 5* rating and it being in their 'LUX' collection. I've had better service and breakfasts at hostels when backpacking round Europe; can't believe the price Jet2 are charging for this place! Seems they have nievely assumed the high investment and skill put into the building of this hotel was going to continue to the service and breakfast. They really need to revisit and read reviews. Spoke to the Jet2 resort rep and mentioned previous reviews on here. She said she never reads reviews: surely this is how you find out guest views so you can do something to improve the situation?

Firstly, the hotel interiors are spectacular and so is the housekeeping. The views from the pool are wonderful, but only the pool facing rooms have this view, the rest of the them have a view of building work, diggers and building rubble. The staff serving are sweet. Sadly, the rest is pretty lacking. We booked thought Jet2, who rated this place as 5* and it was in their 'lux' range. We paid a big price increase for this, compared to other hotels in the area. The staff have clearly had no training on customer service or hospitality and this really affect the experience. Eg. I ordered a coke from the bar, and was given an unopened can of coke. I had to ask for a glass. They didn't open the can, or offer ice or slice of lemon, so I might as well have just picked up a can from the shop on our way back to the hotel! There is no cocktail bar and certainly no hotel 'signature cocktail' as mentioned in Jet2 write up. There isn't even a bar list or price list for alcoholic drinks (if you ask for a price, then have to search it on the till, which makes you feel very awkward). The breakfast is EXACTLY the same every day. Eggs, a very basic salad, cheese, stale bread and some honey/jam, plus filter coffee, which is served one small cup at a time (you have to find a staff member to ask for another!). No fruit juice, fruit or yogurt, which I think are pretty basic items for even a 2* hotel breakfast. There are extras available for breakfast (though you kind of have to guess what they are as there is no menu or list), but there are chargeable and this isn't clear at all either. Other guests had ordered espressos, orange juice and fruit each day and didn't realise they would be charged for them (till I told them). There was confusion over what water was free. We, and then the Jet2 rep, were told 'water is free', but we later established the staff were referring to water in square cartons (which we never saw) and plastic bottled water at breakfast. Even though, due to this confusion, reception agreed with the Jet2 rep to waive the water charges we had, they then insisted we paid for them when checking out. When checking out, we were simply asked to pay an certain amount for extra charges. There was no print out with a breakdown and I was made to feel very akward asking for this. It took a good 10 minutes before I got the information on what this figure was made up from and for what. The thing that effected our experience the most was the very rude manager/owner who walked slowly around the public areas or stood with this arms folded, just 'watching'. With such a small hotel (only 13 rooms) most days there were only 2-4 guest around, so we would all greet each other with a hi or at least a smile. This man simply glared back if you tried to smile when coming across him. There was one morning when the single staff member serving breakfast was very busy and the owner and his partner arrived. She helped out, and her and the staff

This place is well designed with comfortable pleasant surroundings. Bedrooms are amazing. Only downside is the service and this comes down to the management. The staff are all fantastic but lack training and direction. Once these problems are overcome this place will florish.

We only had one night at The Remote Hotel but we wished that we’d had more. It’s super stylish, with a lovely pool and views out across the pine forests and hills. The rooms are lovely too. High ceilings, big doors, 4 poster beds and supersize showers, all furnished with a muted tropical theme. Think Bali meets Ibiza. Food is good. Big portions, good value, great tasting. The team are sweet and really well meaning although I get the sense they need a little more practice to get into the swing of the slick Turkish service ethic. They could be a little forgetful but we just had to ask a couple of times and it was done. We ate out on the pretty terrace and felt very relaxed. We had a massage whilst we were there which was amazing and well priced and they have a hammam too which was free. Overall, a fantastic find and we will definitely be returning.
