I booked a room over the phone on September 28 with the online reservation agent because my house was hit by Hurricane Helene and this hotel allows pets. I loaded up the family and the pets, and when we got to the hotel, there was a paper sign taped to the door that said the hotel was closed, no vacancies. The doors were locked, nobody was in the lobby, no staff to be found anywhere. There were a lot of other angry, bewildered families also trying to check in. I tried to call the number listed online and nobody answered. It was just endless hold music. The next day I called the number again, still endless hold music but this time there was an option to have somebody call you back. i selected that option but nobody called me back. Tried again the next day and finally spoke to someone named Henry. I told him the situation, they also tried to call the hotel, and nobody answered. They agreed not to charge me since they booked me into a closed hotel, but sure enough the next day the charges were on my card. I disputed it through my bank, so I'm definitely not paying the charge, but it just goes to show what a garbage organization this hotel and its affiliates are. We were never notified that the hotel was closed, they still allowed us to book a room, AND I was charged for it after they said I wouldn't be. I wish I could give it negative stars. I didn't actually get to go into the property, but from the outside it looked very sketchy. It's located behind a Chucky Cheese and there were people going in and out of the woods behind the hotel.
