My husband and I stayed at Hotel Boutique Siete Lunas last week and had an absolutely wonderful time. In fact, we enjoyed our time in Sayulita so much, we booked an extra night onto our stay before moving on to visit family in Puerto Vallarta. I will start with the GREAT: We booked the master suite and the room/view were worth every penny. The bed was super comfortable, the views over Sayulita and the bay were incomparable, the in-room Air conditioning was quick to cool the unit, and we slept fabulously. We could hear some music from the town across the water at night, but it wasn't loud enough to drown out the sound of the ocean. We slept like babies and woke up to the most stunning sunrises across the Bay. Based on the room alone we would stay again. If you're looking for romance and a bit of wow-factor, this room has it! Now the GOOD: The complimentary continental breakfast was simple, but nicely prepared and delicious. I really enjoyed the Green Juice. The pool and shared areas are compact but well appointed and offer exceptional views. The staff are friendly and attentive. The bar tender/chef makes a nice Spicy Margarita :) Now the COULD IMPROVE: Communication before arriving at the hotel was a bit convoluted. We booked via *********** and received some fraudulent messages via the app, which in all fairness, were promptly caught by management. That said, the experience put us on a bit of a high alert re: online security, so when management switched communication from the *********** app to Whatsapp aprox 12hrs before arrival, we were a bit thrown. Pricing and quotation. Management would consistently quote pricing for add-on services in USD, but then charge in Pesos. Given that they are not offering a competitive conversion, this caused a few tense moments after receiving quotes for add-on services in USD and then being charged a higher price in Pesos at the time of billing. I suggest requesting all pricing in PESOS. Beachfront vs Oceanview--- This hotel is not beach front, but does offer exceptional ocean and city views. The public beach is a 10-15 walk from the hotel, which we were completely fine with but those with mobility restrictions would struggle. We were clear from the website that the hotel is not beach access, but I can see how other reviewers felt mislead by the tagline "Exclusive Beachfront Hideaway"... "Exclusive Oceanview Hideaway" or "Exclusive Oceanview Jungalows" would be more precise in my mind. That said, the good far outweighed the bad! We would absolutely recommend Hotel Boutique Siete Lunas to those who enjoy vibrant locales full of nightlife, appreciate stunning panoramic views in an intimate setting, and don't mind staying a bit off the beaten path.
