Lovely place ideal quiet location not too far from the centre to walk either down the slopes and steps to the sea front or across bird cage walk bridge friendly host, very comfy bed delicious choice of breakfast served fast and hot free parking on the street outside highly recommended we would definitely stay again

Lovely hotel in a great location. Slept really well and the breakfast is lovely. The staff are helpful and hotel is clean and tidy. My Mum,s friend went to the Mansion House hotel to stay for overnight after seeing a show in the Scarborough Open Air Theatre and the hotel is very amazing it is perfect for kids and adults like me and it includes breakfast when getting up at about 8am in the morning when leaving the hotel room and I gave this place a 10/10 for the brillant overnight stay in the Mansion House Bed and Breakfast hotel in Scarborough

Great place to stay! This hotel is the cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed in , the cleaning team must be fastidious because it’s immaculate! Everything you could possibly need in your room has been thought of! Very comfortable bed! Staff all very friendly and helpful! Absolutely spot on ! Would highly recommend!

Another lovely stay at Mansion House. After years of trying to find good accommodation in Scarborough, we're so glad that we found this charming place a few years ago. This was our 4th stay and it goes from strength to strength. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the linens and soft furnishings are top notch and the atmosphere is comfy. The ownership obviously takes great pride in their business and it shows. We have stayed at many other places in Scarborough including The Crown Hotel which is consistently named the top hotel in town but believe us, THE MANSION HOUSE IS THE BEST ACCOMMODATION IN SCARBOROUGH.

We had to travel to the UK from france for a funeral, the hotel we had stayed in before was closed but they recommended Mansion House WOW!!!! from the minute we arrived until we left we felt as if we had walked into a top London hotel….we were warmly greeted by the owner who helped us with our luggage and settled us into out room which was lovely and warm and comfortable…. after a comfortable nights sleep we went down for breakfast Wow again so much selection and the cooked breakfast was absolutely amazing…..they kindly arranged for our bedroom to be cleaned etc while we had breakfast so that we had time to get changed to attend the funeral so very thoughtful. I made the chef laugh on the second morning by saying sorry chef it’s 11 out of 10 for breakfast again. We had 3 nights there and everything was spotlessly clean we just couldn’t find fault with anything…… sadly we now have no family in Scarborough to visit but we will most certainly recommended Mansion House to our friends and family….If we do ever find ourselves in the area again we will definitely stay there again…….thank you Jonathon,Helen, Mark and Sylvia plus the cleaner of our room and the breakfast staff for a truly wonderful stay at a sad time for us. A lovely stay. On arrival we were given a complimentary glass of wine, very much appreciated after a 4 hour drive to get here. The location is fantastic, only a 20 minute walk into town and main front. Quite hilly but cable cars can take you up and down if needed. Lots of free parking on the road outside the hotel. Fabulous views across the sea, and over to Scarborough and the Castle. Can highly recommend room 17, on the top floor with sea views. Quite a few sets of stairs to get to. Room was clean and tidy, serviced each day. tea tray had everything you need on it. Breakfast was excellent. Only issue was the shower, temperature dropped in and out a little, and also power, this could be because we were on the top floor. The staff were lovely and very welcoming. Looking forward to coming back.
