The Seaside Oceanfront Inn

Room size advertised as 550 square feet total misrepresentation. Owner says he wants proof the room was not 550 Sq FT?? I measured it was 250 sq ft At Best. Floor was not vacuumed had to request it be cleaned very unprofessional ramshackle operation Owner should be embarrassed.

What a great hotel. Our room was ocean view, appeared to be newly remodeled. Nicely decorated. Spectacular view. Walk down the stairs and directly out to the promenade. Would highly recommend this property. My husband and I had a great time. An unexpected surprise was a band on the beach.

I wish I had read the reviews before coming here because there isn't a chance I would have stayed here. The hotel looked promising as you entered the lobby but that is just a facade. We entered the room and to say this place needs an update is the understatement of the year. The carpets were absolutely DISGUSTING. The carpets had a dampness to it to the point my daughter and I had to wear socks to touch the floors. The bathrooms were definitely not well maintained- how difficult is it to add grout to a shower/tub? I was shocked to see how poorly maintained this property is, especially at almost $300/night!! The towels were splattered with bleach...again, a minor thing that can be resolved with minimal cost. Now speaking of cost- you would think that at $300/night you would get good service. Think again. They told me you had to request service in order for anything to be cleaned in the room. So I learned the hard way and made sure I put the sign out for service the night prior. The next morning I went to the front desk and kindly reminded that we would like full service (it was our 3rd day there and the only thing they had done was given us more bleach splattered towels at that point. Given the fact that this is a HOTEL, not an AIRBNB, it is expected that a hotel clean rooms/bathrooms. I know going into an Airbnb that there is no cleaning service which is why it is typically cheaper than a hotel...but this is supposed to be a hotel so service is expected). She confirmed that my request would be granted and jotted down notes to make sure the cleaning service came to our room for a full clean not just a towel swap. We left for a few hours and come to the room- bed still unmade (there was NOTHING on our bed to prevent this service from being done), floors hadn't been vacuumed (nothing impeding from that service)...all they did was another towel swamp. Again, this is after being there for THREE days. I found the someone from the cleaning service and asked if there was a reason why it hadn't been cleaned and they said they had done it. I reminded them that the bed was unmade, not vacuumed - they just did a towel swap. I expect a little more from a hotel that is that pricey...not just a towel swamp..literally that's ALL they do to clean rooms. She took a picture of our key and told me they would take care of it so we left for a few hours. Come back...again, NOTHING done. At that point I was beyond frustrated. I had been extremely cordial and did exactly as the manager had said- put the sign out- but on top of that I kindly asked for the service in the morning, then asked again when it hadn't been done. I went to the front desk to speak to the front desk who happens to be the manager and all I said was "is there a reason why our room still hasn't been cleaned when I took all the steps you told me to take in order to get my room cleaned?" She immediately accused me of lying saying that it had been to which I responded with "I hav

I would like to file a complaint against Seaside Oceanfront Inn, in Seaside, OR. They have false information about the oceanfront rentals. The rental property was advertised as a nice oceanfront property and when we arrived it was like a two car, two story garage made into a crappy room in the back of the inn. The furniture and carpet was stained. There was mold in the bathroom. My husband and I immediately felt sick and had a scratchy throat. We have asked for our money back and they refused. We left because our health is more important. This place is disgusting and should be shut down! Please DO NOT rent from this place.

This hotel does not have all the services that are listed on the website. Room sold as having air conditioners. When I arrived the room 80 degrees and 60% humidity. Windows didn’t open. I went to front office and was told they are having a. Electrical problem and the A/C in the room was broken. And they were oils not be able fix it. All windows are permanently locked. The sent up a dirty unclean fan that had a broken stand. When complained to the owner he was threatened me. ultimately he didn’t want to bothered. Ended up at the best western in a room that was cheaper, all advertised services work. Room had a balcony for less money. If you expect quality and a respectful experience do not stay here. It is a scam they do not provide services that advertised.

The service was terrible. The room was not cleaned prior to arrival, the shower leaked onto the floor and Jaccuzzi worked intermittently. The following day when we returned to the room there were no electric in the room. Asked the front desk if there were any personnel to resolve the issues, the clerk stated we needed to wait till morning and speak with the manager. When we checked out of the hotel the issues were not resolved. Will not recommend this hotel.

In September 2018, my partner and I decided to take our time and drive up from Los Angeles to Seattle and then take a flight home to Hawaiʻi from there. I would drive and when I got tired, we would find the nearest hotel/inn and stay there for the night. The Seaside Oceanfront Inn was one of the places we stopped. We checked into the Clock Room and proceeded downstairs to have dinner at Maggies. Well..one day turned into two, then three, and then we got an alert from United Airlines asking if we wanted to re-book our flight out of Seattle as there was a possibility that Hurricane Olivia might hit Hawaiʻi. Anyhow, we ended up staying at the Seaside Oceanfront Inn for five days, tried everything on the menu at Maggies. Mahalo nui for the hospitality and the awesome room. You have to stay in the Clock Room.

This place is one of the most terrible places we stayed. It is smelly, dirty,dusty and needs a complete renovation and deep deep clean. It is absolutely not worth the money. Who ever is maintaining this place doesn’t do his job,lots of stains,from bed sheets to carpet,rocking toilet to moldy windows etc.

So, on December 23, 2022 my girlfriend and I were headed to Astoria from Springfield to stay at the Hotel Elliott. On our way, we were contacted by the hotel Elliott manager that there was a power outage and they didn’t foresee it coming back on anytime soon, and that they weren’t checking anyone in, but she had recommended a few other places to stay and this was one of them. We asked if the power came back on if we could still check in, she said that if the power came back on within the next hour and a half or so (this was around 5p) that we could check in. We make it to Seaside and it’s going on 6pm so we decide to book a room at this place. We checked in and weren't even out of the office for a minute when hotel Elliot manager called and told us the power was back on, and then we could check in, so I went back into the office not even a minute after we had gotten the keys, and told the desk clerk that we didn’t need the room after all, that the Elliott called and had gotten the power back on. She said she could. I guess she was refund, which I said we never even got in the room. We didn’t want to have to get another room and then check out in the morning only to wait to check in to the Elliott. Not happy at all.
