Staff from early morning were not friendly, but just looked at us judge mental. The kitchen lady, older lady, long gray hair, was super nosy. Stood in the lobby staring at everyone. I came in for breakfast both days we stayed and she almost ran in after me. Cleaning everything around me even though no one was there. Making inappropriate comments about my food, none of her business. She made the comment, “oh you must be taking the food up to a lot of people up there”. Which for one, none of her business how many people I have with me. Two, she wasn’t saying it out of curiosity, likely out of judgement. It was two plates. One with egg, sausage and hashbrown. The other with one full waffle. Shouldn’t even have to explain this, I really should’ve responded with, nope, it’s all for me. Seriously, none of her business. Then because I was put off by her comments(that wasn’t all) I went straight up to the room. I forgot literally everything, syrup, drinks, utensils etc. went back down to have her stand in front of the drink machine saying “hi. AGAIN.” With emphasis on again. Then making comments like “I gotta go cook MORE food, someone took it all, didnt leave enough for the others.” I took a serving of egg and two hashbrowns.. I didn’t realize your guys were stingy with the food and again, I was taking it up to my son as well. And there was no one there, and PLENTY of food. Wish I would’ve taken a picture, because the set up almost looked exactly the same. Shouldn’t even have to second guess myself, it was two plates! Enough for two people! Not a “lot of people”. I went up with two drinks in my hand, by the time I reached the elevator I realized I forgot EVERYTHING else. So I went up then decided I’m not gonna let her get in my head, I’m gonna go back for the syrup and utensils. More comments made but at that point I just blocked them out and didn’t even acknowledge her anymore. She went on to talking with other kitchen staff, leaving little to the imagination, that she likely gossips about the people here. Made the stay uncomfortable, and since the front desk in the morning was unfriendly AND talking with her, I assume they talk about guests. There’s a vast array of people that I’ve observed stay here, if they don’t like their job, they should find another that’s not in customer service. We were just here as we finished the final touches on our place and are going over right now after we check out. Other than that, which can make a nice, peaceful visit sour, the bedding, cleanliness, and check in at the front desk were super friendly and even remembered us the second day. The very young lady with glasses, more specifically. She was really sweet and definitely helped mellow out the sour of the other employees. So grateful to her and for the overall “put togetherness” of the place overall. Besides some bad apples.
