This hotel stay was almost comically nightmarish for me. I can still hardly believe it. I've forgotten until now that I showed up to a room with no pillows, and that the hot water wouldn't work in a shower that was clearly falling apart, because these facts pale in comparison to the real horrors that eventually revealed themselves. During my stay, I had been asleep all of three hours when I awoke to discover that I was itching and covered in bites on my back, arms, and hands. I checked the lining of my bed and sure enough, I found what was unmistakably a bed bug (I had an awful run-in with them as a teen). I killed it, careful not to completely crush it, and took it to the front desk, where I was told I needed to wait for a manager (Tiara M) to arrive to address the situation. I stayed put for half an hour to discuss what happened with the manager when she arrived. Upon Tiara's arrival, I was confronted with a confusingly standoffish, dismissive, and incredibly unhelpful attitude that has continued as I've tried to get this resolved (I.e., get my money refunded). I handed her the bug, which I watched her place into a Ziploc bag to show pest control. She then asked to see my bites, in a way that made it very clear that she doubted what I was saying, and I pulled up my shirt and showed them to her. She explained that she would need to bring in a pest control expert to verify my claims that there were bed bugs in the room before I could get my money back. I told her I needed to check out and leave immediately. She told me she would contact me the following week regarding a refund. She did not. I followed up with the hotel a couple of days ago and they told me to call *******, who I booked the room through. Apparently ******* then contacted the hotel, who said they would only agree to a refund if I sent pictures proving what I was saying. I was given an email address to send pictures to by Tiara, who at first tried to say she had no idea who I was, or if I had handed her the bug I found ("It may have been another manager"). She wouldn't give me her full name, and I had to trick her into telling me that she was the only female manager at the hotel to verify that I was talking to the same person. I sent the bulk of what makes up this message to the provided email address, and they refused to give me a refund. So in short, if you wish to spend three hours tops in a bug-infested, pillowless room with a barely working shower, getting chewed up by pests, and then be refused a refund, then you've hit the jackpot. If you happen to be sane, avoid booking a stay at this establishment.
