The Resort at Governor's Crossing

Awesome place, so clean so nice, just all around great with so many things to do onsite!

All the staff, front desk check in, Raleigh, Wanda and Charles were awesome greeters. David, Rosanna, Amelia, Xavier, Jackson, Eli and all the other water safety patrol were a joy to interact with. They were on top of their jobs! Logan, Jonathon, Loni and others over activities yall have the best time with all the kids. The butterfly release, crafts, games, movies, coloring, game time, yall rock, not to mention the 2 o'clock time of Popsicles by the pool. Thanks for all the memories. Housekeeping is in the ball too!. Clean rooms, fresh towels and a few other things to make your stay comfortable. Thanks teach of you for making it a fun few days before school starts back. Got a few good days here just enjoying the resort and the grands. It's evident you have great management here, It shows through your staff! It can definitely use a little face lift outside in some of the areas but that didn't hinder us from having a great time and enjoying the property

Excellent place we had a great time We will definitely do it again. I plan on booking later on. Very clean and friendly people. The water park was awesome. The view of the mountains was great. The place inside of the condo was little outdated but it didn't matter had a wonderful time

From the moment we arrived, things went south. Resort wanted an extra $50 upon arrival because we were less than 2 hours early. We feel this is beyond tacky. It would have been different had the room not been ready. Since we refused to pay, we were asked to wait in their lobby until check in. The furniture (pics included) was so nasty that I wouldn’t allow my granddaughter to sit back in the chair. The room had black carpet which is indicative of a place who doesn’t want you to see how dirty the floor is. There were 16 chairs for the entire resort swimming area unless you wanted to pay extra for a cabana. There were only 12 floats for the lazy River for this resort and half of those were broken so that you couldn’t even sit in them. As for the putt-putt course advertised online, please see the pics attached. This place should be totally embarrassed.

The location is great and the outside area is awesome. This place could be perfect if they kept it cleaner. The indoor water park has a slimy black substance over the kiddie area. Our room looked clean on the surface but then once we were ready for bed we saw the obvious neglect. The shower liner was disgusting at the bottom, it was moldy with a rust colored film on it. The pull out couch’s mattress had blood stains on both sides, and the master bedroom had a piece of bacon from God knows when on the side of the bed. We went to the front desk to let them know and they moved us to the room next to it. No apology or anything. Once we got to this room we noticed that the covers on top of the beds all had tears and stains. It was so late and we had small kids and at this point we we’re not wanting to drag our things to yet another room so my husband went to the walmart across the street and bought cleaning supplies and blankets for us and our babies to sleep on. I am not happy at all!

The room was very nice and clean. The water parks were wonderful too. My children loved every minute of the pools and slides. My children also throughly enjoyed the build a buddy and the butterfly experience as well as all the firefly cove activities. They were more interested in doing activities at the resort than going out in Pigeon Forge. We will definitely be going back!

We liked how clean everything was. The staff was very helpful and friendly. This was our first visit but definitely not our last. The only thing that could have been better was for the pools to be heated. It was in the upper 80's and the water was very cold.

First let me say this: We were blocked on personal Facebook for calling this place out and they have yet to offer any apology or anything to make this experience right. I have expressed to staff, by email, and now social media but the resort won’t make it right! We stayed 6/15/24-6/20/24. Please see pictures I have attached and GOOGLE REVIEWS for 20 pictures I uploaded there as well. The condition of the rooms are HORRIBLE. They are worn, dusty, scuffed up, ratty carpet, bugs & bug feeces, and stains everywhere. Dishwasher overflowed into the floor 3rd night we were there. Manager Derrick and maintenance staff member came to room. They did “clean out” the dishwasher, but no apology or even offered anything to rectify the situation. I pointed out several issues with the room to Derrick, he did not care and simply just walked out. The only apology I received was upon check out from front desk member. Given we paid $2,559 for 5 nights even with a special promotion that we booked in February, it was totally NOT worth it. Very little kitchen utensils, no regular dish soap, and only 1 dish rag provided. NO AC in children’s activity center where the staff complained the entire time we were there. Housekeeping staff and ladies operating the children’s activities were the only friendly ones on property. We also discovered bugs, bug droppings and possible signs of rodents. We have officially stayed at all 3 of the “Smoky Mountain Reward Resorts” and the Resort at Governor’s Crossing is the absolute worst of the 3. They even had the nerve to send us a text asking how our stay was on a scale 1-10. I sent them the pictures and of course, no response. I hope this review results in some sort of communication back to us to make this right given the price we paid.

Loved this resort so much!! My son and neice had a blast. Loved that the pools stayed open late and they had all kinds of activities for kids to do daily. The butterfly garden was sooo pretty The workers were great and the rooms were very clean and spacious. We will definitely be back soon!
