This stay was a disaster from the start. We were about 3 hours from arriving, and the hotel calls us on the phone and tells us that the room we had reserved (a handicapped room) was no longer available. Keep in mind, the reservation was made 2 months ago. They offered us another room. When we walked in the room, there was a strong smell of sewer coming from the drains in the bathroom. The handle on the bathroom door was falling off. There was a big hole in the wall where the room door has hit the wall. We killed 4 large bugs in the room. We went to hang some clothes in the closet and the closet wall was covered in mildew/mold.. A lamp didn't work, and the TV remote would not turn the tv on or off, or operate the volume. The website says there is "A free, hot breakfast buffet." Not true, and looking at the reviews, there hasn't been a buffet for several months. Of course, they don't tell you that when you book your room, but only when you check in. I asked the front desk how long has it been since they served a hot breakfast buffet. She said 2-3 weeks. I do not like being lied to. The hotel *is* going thru renovations, but there is no excuse for these conditions.
